That's because Kovalev would be more drained than Dawson was verse Ward lmao

yes that is the reason I picked Froch by late KO or UD if they fight at 168.

Koval isn't at 168 so why make it up? As if 7 pounds would be the deciding factor!
First off at a 175 limit Koval would be 188lbs and Froch at 185 approximately.

Does anyone think that power and talent have a say or is it the 7 POUNDS!

Ward has better defence and doesn't really take clean shots on the chin. But when he did he was dropped hard or wobbled. Froch has taken a ton of punches due to not being so good on the defensive and has a genuine rock hard chin. If Ward had to take the clean punches that Froch had, he would have been knocked out in every fight.

P.S no one is trying to be clever, but see as you bring it up, it wouldn't be too hard being clever with most of the people on this site.
its frowned upon to be clever on this site, as youve quickly discovered. If you want to be popular and get roads of rep power, just go around saying GGG is a bum. on every thread.

Ward beat froch 115-113 on two scorecards, so by definition that means he just edged it and there wasnt much between the two fighters.
So,im interested to know, how do people think kovalev would do against froch? Would he do better than beating froch by 1 round? Are froch and ward levels above the krusher?
Those scores were not accurate. The only judge that had it right was the British judge which had it by a wider margin for Ward.

Saying that Froch never stopped trying to win and finished strong at the end of the fight.

Also Froch has that strong chin, under-rated skills. There is no saying how that fight would had gone because a lot of ppl here under rate him so much

Carl has been KD'd more than Andre, including one by Groves. He's also been in trouble more. In fairness to Carl, I'll say that's because he has no where near the same defense and that their chins are about equal.
Ward was wobbled by Abrahams jabs, I think more than once. I don't think his chin is comparable to Froch's.

ward's chin is crap. dropped heavily by boone, almost ko'd by some guy named kenny, wobbled by abraham, wobbled multiple times byy miranda, wobbled by paul smith. he has good defense and good hugging when he does get hurt but that chin is bad.

You're looking at 3 fighters, 2 of who were at different weights to Kovalev 5 years ago, with all of them having different styles.

Andre isn't a puncher. Everyone knows that. Also, he had a double fractured hand against Carl, and I think most people had it much wider than how the judges saw it.

In my opinion, Kovalev would have beaten Carl easier than Andre did.

                    Again, styles make fights.

What point are you trying to make?

How many examples do you want? We all know about Ali, Foreman and Frazier etc.

Kov may have beaten Carl in a few rounds. Who knows? But it was still a very good win for Andre, especially as he'd got a fractured wrist.
