Comments Thread For: Parker's Trainer: Dimitrenko is Bigger Challenge Than Haumono

#1 ranked IBF heavyweight contender Joseph Parker (20-0) has a lot at stake Saturday in New Zealand when he faces Alexander Dimitrenko at the Vodafone Events Centre. A loss would at least temporarily halt Parker's title aspirations as it would strip him of his mandatory ranking.

Dimitrenko will prove less durable imo. I don't see him as a significant test, Takam proved Joseph can compete at championship level over 12 and punch at the top level too, this to me is a step backwards but I'll acknowledge its a good stay busy fight whilst he continues to build his profile and locks in on his IBF mandatory shot.

I don't think Dimitrenko has the power to keep Parker off him nor does he have the chin to take his best punches. He has experience but he has been on a steady decline since the Pulev fight. Kurtagic & Ivica Perkovic put him on his butt. That is hard to ignore...
