If you had to put your house on a guy winning a fight and you didn't know who he was fighting (within reason obviously)?

I would go Andre Ward. And I say that as not a fan of his in the slightest. But I guess I must think he's the best!

      Ward is a real winner!

        So..
P4P rankings take a number of factors into account such as recent activity, standard of competition, in addition to skill etc
So taking out the other factors and just leaving it as to how good you think a fighter is, who would you say the number 1 fighter is?
So for example, many people wouldnt rank ward as p4p because of recent competition but can imagine theres a lot of people who think he is the best fighter in the sport. Same as a lot of people think golovkins CV isnt much good but they think he is the best fighter. Not looking for a ward v ggg debate (for once) but they are just two of the most obvious examples. Rigondeaux would be another one.
So, who do you think the best fighter is?
Just going off of straight up skill, Crawford is my number one. Honorable mentions would be Loma, Andrade, Ward, GGG, and Gonzalez. Lots of great fighters but those are the guys that I see as being difficult to beat, no matter the style they are facing.

the winner of ward - kovalev will be the top ranked p4per in the world.

gonzalez looks like he's declining some. he's a small guy fighting bigger men now, and those guys don't age well. people have had him on the top, and have kept him there, and i'm fine with that.

golovkin didn't look tremendous in his last fight.

crawford is at or around the very top of the sport as well.

i think the p4p title's going to go to vasyl lomachenko in the coming years. that kid is still getting better. his footwork and boxing skills are unreal, and he's starting to develop a damaging offense. great, great young fighter. my pick to be the top p4per in the world in a few years, when ward, gonzalez, kovalev and golovkin are retired or declining.

theres a few who i think are really good, ggg, rigo, crawford . But if i had to pick one i'd say lomachenko, know hes lost to salido but that was the guys 2nd fight lol, and ive seen enough since then to see what a special talent he really is. Think if his career is managed properly he could be talked about as a true ATG.

Who said he can't become a ATG later down the road?

Didn't Hopkins lose early in his career? but it was to a total bum.. Salido is no pushover, and considering that he came in as a welterweight and low-blows all night I'll hardly hold that loss against Lomachenko.
