Even Matthysse was a hype job according to the same people. Garcia beats him and all of a sudden he is not.

The inconsistencies are what bugs me in this site.

If you call someone a bum, then stop counting him as a good win for your idol.

It's not inconsistencies. You people on here generalize too much. That's the problem.

        a quick breakdown:

Eric Morrales X2 - Obviously way past his prime and at the end of his career and fighting only for one last payday(s)

Zab Judah - Same story as above, nearly 10 year's past his prime and at the end of his career.

Amir Khan - lost nearly every round until he found Khan's china, good win.

Lucas Matthysese - was the underdog coming in, won a close fight but still a good win and the best win of his career- both fighter's were never the same again, Danny pissed blood for weeks after this fight and his eardrum was perforated. While Mattysese's eye seems to be a career ender for him.

Herrera - Herrera is tricky boxer with decent skills and schooled danny, clearly won the fight and Danny get's the gift decision. Herrera later loses every single round to Frankie Gomez
        First loss of Garcia's career.

Rod Salka - One of the most disgusting mismatches of recent year's in boxing.

Lamont Peterson - Very close fight, Danny tell's Lamont at the end of the fight that ' you won '.
        Danny get's the decision.

Paulie - Again same story as judah, morrales etc, look's like a decent name on paper, when in reality paulie is at the end of his career.

Guerrero - Garcia fight's a guy who most boxing fan's notice has declined massively and look's washed up.
Guerrero get's dropped and beaten by Journeyman with 4 KO's Aaron Martinez and get's a debatable SD prior to fighting Garcia.
His next fight he get's dropped again and loses to a cab driver.

In conclusion Danny Garcia has 2 good win's.
Danny was the underdog in the Morales 1, kahn and Matthysse fights. the wins should be given more credit. Ghost, Herrera, Petersen and Zab are all good opponents. Paulie, Salka were easy cakewalks.

I think he deserves more respect from you for this.

come on bro....guys like GGG, Beterbiev, Luis Ortiz, Josh Parker, etc are hyped to the heavens and he is far more proven than those guys

he has one of the better resumes of any active fight bro.
the only time old wins matter is when its pac man vs barrera n all those fights he had at 135 years ago. Dannys wins and wards wins which were not that long ago, hold no weight and were so long ago that they don't matter now...

its crazy bro how these MFers flip flop

I like manny he was one of my favorites of the era but I was realistic about the media making him out to be better than he actually was and his die hard fanatics were straight hypocrites

they'll say Garcia's and wards wins were too long ago to count

But Manny is the only fighter I've ever seen lose fights and stay ranked in the top 3-5...hardly drop p4p....the guy has 3-3 in his last 6 fights

even back in 2012 he shouldnt have been considered # 2 p4p, considering he never beat Marquez clearly once and IMO lost that 3rd fight, then lost a bs decision to bradley only to get ktfo by Marquez.....people still have him # 2....i had ward number 2 around that time...he was on fire back then

the only time beating top 10 opponents is taken into account is when its GGG these days??? (u all brag on him beating top 10 ranked opponents) but Jacobs win over quillen (top 3) doesn't matter n holds no weight, and Garcias wins over the ghost, Peterson, kendall holt, nate Campbell, erik morales x2, zab Judah, and a few others hold no weight??? I need help understanding this???

Espn, BWAA and Ring magazine were literally trying to make him "the greatest fighter of the era"

how can you be fighter of the decade when their is an undefeated guy who beat most of your common opponents first and was champion over a decade across 5 divisions?

the media really pumped him up from 07-09.....guess they thought mayweather was going to remain retired and they could hype manny to the heavens

furthermore Manny is a legit all time great....he just isnt beside names like Ali, Leonard, Jones.....Floyd is in that conversation, he earned it and proved it in the ring.

people equate struggling, and being exciting with greatness....consistency and dominance shows greatness

**** the fans, when Im in the ring im trying to win by anyway necessary.

all fails and the fighter is great and dominant....he boring doe!!!!
