I've said it before, I don't care what race or nationality a fighter is. If they're putting up a solid effort, have some talent, good attitude... I'm good. As for Ward, he's proven to be a thinker in the ring, but he needs to prepare for the worst. Serg will have prepared just as well, is nearly as good a boxer, and has 2-3 times the power. He will slow Ward down with his patented killer body shots, then close the show mercilessly.

1st thing you gotta know about Ward is he will take away Kovalev's primary weapons. You can forget about Kovalev's body shots.

Oh and Kovalev isnt nearly as good a boxer. Ward is a level or two above in that department. The separation is real.

I know Ward. I have watched all his televised fights. All the grabbing, holding, head butts, getting hit A LOT, the whole 9 yards. He'll get tagged from Kovalev just like he gets tagged by every fighter he's been in the ring with. Difference: Kovalev's punches have serious destruction included with each one. And BTW, Ward himself has said numerous times the BHop fight proved Kovalev is no bum when it comes to boxing skills. I just hope your hero Ward is taking Kovalev more seriously than you are. I'd imagine he is. And I'd imagine if he's being totally honest, he would admit he'd rather not have to do this fight... because he knows this is no minor bump in the road. This is a fight both fighters know is their toughest so far.
