I'm not in any way implying that Kovalev is not a good fighter. He is good and has beaten some great fighters. He will probably go to the Hall of Fame but this is boxing. Those who follow basic rules of movement, moving the head, using the ring and clinching win all the time. Ward is old school and will just beat the hell out of Kovalev.

I think he's overrated. He skillet is definitely not a top 3 p4p. He's good but I don't think he can beat ward. I've been saying it since the fight was announced but if he beats ward all credit to him because I do think ward is a top p4p fighter.

I've criticized Kovalev's resume wayy before the Ward fight was signed, so that has nothing to do with excuses.

If he beats Ward, that will be the first great win he has IMO.

Well, if some fans says that Kovalev is a bum then with that logic, Ward should get no credit for beating that bum

I think the mods should pay close attention after this fight.

If Ward wins and Kov fans get bitter and do the stuff Manny fans like Spoon23 and Rath and other have done they should be banned for 6 months at least.

This is a fight fans fight that fight fans should be able to discuss after without having to be inundated with trolls and bitter losers.

I don't understand what prompts these kind of threads tbh.. Its the top guys of the division fighting for the #1 p4p status.. It doesn't get any bigger than this..

If Ward wins fair play to him, if Kovalev wins then no hard feelings.. end of the day the better man on the night won & possibly also get a rematch also in place to excite fans again next year..

I'm sure the fighters themselves will be OK accepting the defeat than some fans on here.. lol

I get that trolls, bigots and other scumbags tend to get more responses (thus more site business) but do we really need a repeat of the utter garbage we saw for 3 months following May 2015? I think not.
