Doesnt have much skill to him, but he puts on a show and is good for boxing. Not a very talented fighter overall though. Just entertainment. He's there for Atlantic City and HBO to make money off casual fans who like wars and brawlers. He just makes them money, isnt a great fighter though from a tatical stand point.

Just their for casual fans? im a hardcore fan and i love the man. Just because he puts on a war doesnt mean he JUST appeals to casual fans. Hes their for entertainment because he has the best heart i have ever seen. He doesnt go down for ****. A true warrior and one of the many memorable fighters of this generation.

Hes not close to being on the level of those fighters popularity wise...

on a national seen he is world wide he is not even close. Gatti is not famous people know who he is and what he does. Ali transended the sport himself and he is that last great american icon. many people at the deepest darkest places of the word new who ali was. Gatti would be a blip on ali's radar but a very exciting and real blip.

Its not like people say Gatti is a great fighter. Not even diehard Gatti fans say he is. He is what he is, a good fighter with a great heart, and a will like Ive never seen. He gives you an exciting fight everytime out, with the exception of the Mayweather fight. Let the guy be, he doesnt go parading around like hes the best. Ive yet to see an expert that has dissed Gatti in anyway. They all have a lot of respect for him.

I was messing with you boy but ya you fly off the handle like any good boxing fan does its the nature of our sport. I gave the poster of this thread **** because he was giving gatti **** when the man deseves respect win or lose because gatti's main purpose is to please the fans and in conjunction make money. Is he an A level fighter is he an Elite no way but is he good enought to get in the hall of fame not realt but he is not done fighting and if he wins another belt I say he is in because he has done alot and not just in winning but he is better than many men who are in the HOF so let the debate rage

yea i think he's hall of fame material. You cant be in like one million fight of the years and not be good enough for the Hall. A lot of people in other professional sports are inducted into the hall of fame because they were a blast to watch and changed the sport. I think Gatti did both so he definetly deserves to be in it already in my eyes. Or at least put him in the "best hearts of the sport" section. lol. they should have that actually... thatd be cool.

Give him this as people try to compare him and RIcardo Mayorga. What did Mayorga do after losses to Trinidad and Oscar? He pouted and stormed off with hsi tail between his legs refusing to give an interview. What did Gatti do after the pummelling against Mayweather? He stayed in the ring and was accountable for his loss talking to HBO even though he was embarrassed. Its a matter of class that separates the two

It's so funny that we have a guy with the username Mayweather and a guy called Gatti Fan arguing.
