'Mandatory' doesn't really mean a lot these days. Certainly doesn't often mean the toughest challenge. Weren't Wade and Rubio 2 of GGG's mandatories? Maybe even Monroe as well.

Or are you trying to imply something about how prize fighters use the belts specifically for negotiating?
    That does happen, definitely.

What I was referring to though... look at those three. Yes, Turiano had to bow out, but still... of those 3, probably 2 of which were mandatories... they were not much of any challenge to GGG. IOW my point being... just because a challenger is the mandatory does not mean they're the toughest challenge out there. It just means they worked their way to the top of the list... many time fighting no-hoper after no-hoper. I see posters commenting about that all the time on the boxing blogs.

I was watching some old interviews, man, back in the day fighters really cared about their pride, they didn't wanted to be good boxers, they wanted to be the best.
It's sad that i never saw those days, but only a few men today are going for a legacy.

He also shows that he is very simpleminded and has no idea about the sport, he probably doesnt know shit.

Boxrec makes it easy for you and gauges an opponents quality.

        If 2 great fighters fight each other its a 5 star fight, A and B Class = 4 Star, A and C = 3 Star, A vs D = 2 Star, A vs bum = 1 Star.

Wilder has a much much much worse resume than GGG, he didnt fight one better opponent than GGG in his entire career on a fight to fight basis.

When you compare their last 17 opponents, 16 of GGGs opponents were ranked higher than Wilders. Only 1 opponent was ranked equal.

I rather let facts speak for themselves.
I know, I know. But he just makes it so easy to rebuttal...can't help myself.

They weren't much a challenge because GGG has already conquered those rankings. That's the reason. Or maybe GGG is just that good. Or maybe you just don't want to give him credit for being unified for this long? Look, I understand why some want to poke holes in GGG's resume. But I'm just going to repeat what someone else said on this site: criticizing GGG for not having a better resume is the same as criticizing a baseball player for not hitting a homerun after being walked.

Canelo is a duck, so Golovkin must be ahead of him, a duck is an admission of defeat.

hurry up and make the excuses to justify for GGG.
Knocked out both, Kell Brook was being handed lopsided beating but you don't know anything about boxing to comment on that.
Ouma the same guy who J.Taylor in his prime couldn't even KO, GGG has a competitive fight with him but still KOes him.
