Canelo's stock would rise to new heights if he beats GGG. I doubt he beats him and would like to see GGG continue his dominance at 160.

what makes GGG the best? canelo has beaten better opposion then GGG has fought.

GGG is the highest ranked boxer from 154 to 168, & he is a unified champion. We don't even have to bring up the MW defense streak or the KO streak records to recognize that the best boxer in Canelo's range is GGG. GGG is also the highest ranked p4p fighter from 154 to 168...which puts him clearly in the same range of Canelo. So, in order for Canelo to keep calling himself the best fighter in the world, he needs to beat the perceived best fighter in his range: GGG. The accolades, the belts, the rankings all prove that GGG is a higher ranked boxer than Canelo. Canelo needs to put up or shut up.

canelo has at least fought A level fighters, may, cotto, lara according to some of you. name 1 A level fighter GGG has fought? you cant therefore he isnt the best. WIlder has a better resume then GGG.

#1, you can't count FMJ because Canelo was thoroughly schooled in that fight. FMJ barely needed his shell defense for Canelo. You cannot give Canelo credit for a fight he got schooled in. Period. So, essentially, Canelo doesn't have an A-level victory either...just like GGG. Neither cotto or lara are A-level...they never were. In fact, there's not a ton of A-level fighters left in the world. We're still waiting on the young crop of boxers to ascend to that height. So far, I can probably count all the A-level fighters in the world on 1 hand. Please don't put a past-his-prime Cotto in the A-level category...& please don't put the no-killer-instinct Lara in that same discussion.

#2, Who has GGG beaten that makes him the best? Easy...he's beaten everyone put in front of him by devastating fashion to become the most recognized unified champion in the world. Everyone else clearly ducks. Canelo's duck was the most publicized duck in boxing history...with social media & all.

#3, we all know that you're trying to discredit GGG as a boxer by attempting to poke holes in his resume. The problem with your analysis is that GGG can't force boxers into the ring with him. Another guy said it best on this site: criticizing GGG on his resume is like hating on a baseball player for not hitting a homerun after being walked.
