Realistically, what happens if Haymon's plan to get a network deal doesn't come?

I miss those awesome Showtime tripleheaders.

**** having to jump around from NBC, NBCS, CBS, FOX, FS1, ESPN, Spike, BounceTV and all that other **** just to find a PBC card. Everything back on Showtime would be great, for the fans at least
The longterm plan is not to keep things as scattershot as they currently are; in a perfect world, the main TV deal would go to CBS Corp (CBS/CBS Sports/SpikeTV/Showtime), with Showtime/SHOPPV being the avenue for their pay fights (no different than the UFC's current deal with Fox, where the UFC then gets to keep 12 PPV events every year).

In fact, any final deal is likely going to include a terrestrial TV package with a broadcaster (CBS/FOX/ABC) and a continued partnership with Showtime for the pay fights.

Showtime would again have Deontay Wilder, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Adonis Stevenson, Chavez Jr, the coming shakeout fights at 154 and 126, and the continued rise of the young prospects all on their own channel.

Showtime isn't any less invested in the boxing business than they were before PBC (signing the deal for Joshua was a hint for more boxing), so I'd figure that you'd see a return of the triple and quadrupleheader fight cards of the Schaefer era.

Beyond that, you'll likely see the return of 4-6 PPVs each year to the TV schedule (Wilder-Joshua, Garcia-Thurman, Stevenson-Ward, and Jacobs-Saunders[if Daniel wins] being the obvious PPV fights that stand out to me) to gird the schedule and help fill out fights.
All those guys have been on showtime...their ratings are the lowest they've ever been. Boxing is not growing one bit...You know what all that "exposure" did for them? Absolutely nothing....

Is Spence the only Olympian from 2012 fighting in 2016?

You do know that most "vatos" don't even like Golovkin, right?

They're siding with their boy Canelo and I don't have an issue with that. It seems like you do though, De'Trayvon.

What happens if the deal DOES go through?

Do we get years and years of **** fights and 18 month builds for average match ups?

As much as I disliked the way Haymon ran his boxers, I was initially excited about the idea of a big, US, weekly or bi-weekly boxing show. After the first couple months it was clear this wasn't going to work and we weren't going to get best v best.

Realistically, can we all finally admit that Haymons plan was to fleece a hedge fund for 20% of $500 million?
