The guy in your Avi is the king of mismatches....just look at his last fight...

PBC/Haymon aren't going down the toilet..but it's good to see you have hope in your life.

We're not even talking about prospective fighters, we're talking about fighters who have already been built up and have established name recognition. And when they do come back, ****** fans would give them instant excuse why they need tuneup fights or expect them not to do well due to long layoff as if it's fans fault.
Who are you talking about exactly? Names please.

          You want names?

"Yet there are a whole bunch of top fighters aligned with PBC who have only fought once this year who are in need of bouts. They include Daniel Jacobs, Garcia, Thurman, Shawn Porter, Adonis Stevenson, Andre Berto, Jermall Charlo, Jermell Charlo, Julian Williams, Erislandy Lara, Vanes Martirosyan, James DeGale, Badou Jack, Anthony Dirrell, Andre Dirrell, Austin Trout, Adrien Broner, Rances Barthelemy, Gary Russell Jr., John Molina Jr., Dejan Zlaticanin, Jose Pedraza, Edner Cherry and Lee Selby, among others.

Perhaps some of the fighters have fought only once by design but certainly not all of them or even most of them. But when so much of the money that was once there to bankroll PBC cards is gone, it's hard to keep guys busy at their expected purse level.

There are others who have not fought at all this year, including Peter Quillin, Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson, Jesus Cuellar and Abner Mares."

I dont believe for a second, that all these boxers are satisfied with the amount of fights/paydays they get.

Just take a look at the rooster:

                No fights in 2016:
                Lamont Peterson
                Omar Figueroa
                Devon Alexaner

                One fight in 2016:
                Keith Thurman
                Erislandy Lara
                Danny Garcia
                Shawn Porter
                Daniel Jacobs
                Adonis Stevenson
                Lee Selby
                Jermall Charlo
                Adrien Broner
                James DeGale
                Eleider Alvarez
                Jose Pedraza
                Jermell Charlo
                Anthony Dirrell
                Vanes Martirosyan
                Mickey Bey
                Julian Williams
                Paul Malignaggi
                Tony Harrison
                Andre Dirrell
                Gary Russell Jr.
                Andre Berto
                Badou Jack
                Steve Cunningham
                Austin Trout
                Anthony Joshua
                Ishe Smith
                Chris Algieri
                Marcus Browne

                two fights in 2016:
                Carl Frampton
                Leo Santa Cruz
                Errol Spence Jr.
                Deontay Wilder
                Robert Easter Jr.
                Sammy Vazquez
                Sergiy Derevyanchenko
                Thomas Williams Jr.

Even if we dont know anything about the business numbers of PBC, all signs lead us to believe, that PBC is done.
Boxing is in shambles at the moment. How can you expect the sport to grow, when most of the marquee fighters only fight once per year.

Don't know what exactly you meant there. But based on those number of fighters, I can agree that they can't all possibly be in sync in preferring to fight less than twice a year or not fight at all. It's also possible they were offered fights, but rejected them because the risks involved doesn't tally with the pay, ie, fighting a tougher opponent should double or triple the expected paycheck.

We don't know if this is self-imposed inactivity or whether Haymon simply ran out of funds to continue overpaying them. If it's the latter, then it would take probably another year of inactivity before seeing them complain.
