Wouldn't mind seeing a rematches eventually. But I don't think it should be an immediate rematch however.

Linares won 8 rounds to 4. He's just too talented for Crolla. Not to mention Golden Boy needs to bring Linares back to the states so his U.S. fans can see him.

There's potential fights with Flanagan, Garcia, that can potentially be big money fights as well for Linares.

' crolla gave it up in the final rounds'

no mate he didnt, he was being battered by linares, he didnt have any say in the matter lol..
I was sitting 2 rows from the front, I had a damn good view and those judges had it pretty accurate.

Let's have a quick breakdown. Linares clearly won rounds 1-3 but rounds 4 and 5 were Crollas. 6 would have been his too if it wasn't for the right hand in the dying seconds.

Crolla came back strong and probably won 7 and 8 too, or it was 1-1. Round 9 was Linares coming back well but round 10 could easily have gone to Crolla.

No doubt the last 2 were Linares rounds. I personally had it 7-5 Linares.

In terms of the crowd, I think we all realised just how good Linares was going to be in this fight at the end of round 3 and the rabid Crolla fans didn't burst back into life till about round 7, so there wasn't much influencing going on for anyone.

Yeah the crowd were silenced for most of the fight after the midway point, that pretty much says it all.

as for 7-5 or even the fact you/people are giving Crolla more than 4 rounds is totally bizarre to me.

Perhaps watch it again (with commentary turned off) ? froch was truely awful last night, because it was not a close fight mate.

Being live at the fight, it was clear that Linares won the first 3 rounds and the crowd started to get unsettled but then Crolla did fantastic in the middle of the fight and Linares was just throwing arm punches.

It looked like the upset was on but then (I don't know hwy because he doesn't normally gas) Crolla gave it up in the championship rounds. I had the fight even going into the 11th and Linares won both those rounds.

Did the Venezuelan find his second win? That would be a first.

Oh and one of those cards was too damn wide.
It was a great fight it was competitive but a lot of shots missing from both guys Crolla more so than anyone I think he looked very one dimensional against Linares I had expected this to be the case.

If they want a rematch it should not be in Manchester, Linares came over to the lionsden he beat Crolla fair and square in his own backyard I don't like the guy but even Paulie admitted it would be home-brewing If Crolla got the nod which was a fair assessment.

Crolla will need to bring something new to the table more money for Linares especially if the second fight happens in Manchester and some more new angles because he was just far too predictable last night.

got to be honest mate, i thought the wide card was the only correct one. Was a decent fight but i had linares fairly wide too, 117-111

              .
Totally agree. I realize it's all about getting paid and promoters' contracts, but I always hate it when a beltholder goes into his opponent's hometown and wins, and then has to give up the hometown advantage in the rematch as well. Sauerland does that all the time in Germany because they have the money to do it, so do Japanese, British and US promoters. If there is a rematch i would prefer it be on neutral ground, or in Japan, where Linares lives and there's good money

Linares resides, lives in Japan pity he isn't of real Japanese descent otherwise there might have been a chance of getting it over there.

Linares is a proper underrated fighter really good fighter who has lost more times due to having a crap chin a bit like Amir Khan you know Hearn will likely pay him a few million and it will be so hard to refuse that cash and it will once again happen in Manchester.

As much as I love the atmosphere we Brits bring I thought it was disgusting to boo the decision and boo Linares hell they even made it a negative atmosphere for Golovkin, you should appreciate good fighters coming here not many top ranked P4P fighters would be willing to go into the lionsden when its them who is the reigning champion lol I mean look at LSC he wants the rematch to happen in a place where he might get biased favour after losing fair n square the first time lol.

                  117-111 indicates a 9-3 card.

Pretty much everyone agrees Crolla won rounds 4 and 5, yet we're supposed to believe he only won 1 round post the 6th?

                  Cmon, lets be real.

then again, I know national and ethnic support is difficult to overlook.

I like Crolla and was behind him a bit but in reality, I was closer to being neutral and what I saw was an even, competitive fight.

i was cheering on crolla too though. Yeah i thought he won 3 rounds clearly, then there was another round which was up for debate which i scored to linares but could see how crolla could have got it , then i couldnt see any other rounds which crolla could have possibly won

See, there's 4 rounds there and 5 could be easily found too so the idea of a close fight isn't difficult.

117-111 is not realistic. Anyway, the rematch looks likely so lets see.
