Update:
-With Antonio Vargas signed by Split-T Management and Shakur Stevenson signing with Andre Ward, that means that only Gary Russell is the only member of the USA olympic team that hasn't signed with either a manager or a promoter, he probably would sign with Al Haymon since his two brothers are signed by him.
a)There isn't much to write about Shakur that hasn't been written, i should have suspected he would sign with Ward since Shakur was on his training camp for the Kovalev and also in the fight itself with him, Shakur can be a p4p star under good development.
b)Vargas was the most talented member of his team and the most accomplished before the games also, he is dynamic and posses the talent to be a world champion, sadly he is a flyweight.
-Mohammed Rabii, olympic bronze at welterweight, will turn pro, he signed with Gary Hyde, Rabii is an awesome boxer puncher, with pop on his punches, fast hands, accurate and with a good ring iq, could be a world champion with his major problem being his composure in the ring.
-Tony Yoka, controversial super heavyweight champion is also turning pro, Yoka has fast hands and skill for a super heavyweight, but seems to be a 50/50 chance of being a really good boxer or at least a world champion or just a flop.Comment

Update:
-Antonio Vargas, the most underrated and talented member of the USA boxing team, turns pro in feb. 24 with Teofimo Lopez (1-0) also in the card.
-Filip Hrgović the Super Heavyweight bronze medalist would turn pro.
-Tony Yoka signed with Richard Schaefer and is turning pro.
-Jeyvier Cintron, the talented and underrated two time olympian from Puerto Rico, is turning pro with Top Rank.
-Michael Conlan would fight Tim Ibarra in the Madison Square Garden in March 17th.
-Gary Russell would probably turn pro in the same card his two brothers are fighting.
-Shakur Stevenson signed with Top Rank.
-Ivan Dychko, the Super Heavyweight bronze medalist is turning pro, wants a rematch with Anthony Joshua.
-Mohammed Rabii the welterweight bronze medalist and world amateur champion is turning pro the next week in Morocco (Feb. 18) in the same card of Simpiwe Vetyeka.

Antonio Vargas is turning pro today.
He is the most underrated and probably the best boxer of the US Olympic Team.
He beat Finol and considering that Avila was robbed against Aloyan (who was stripped of his medal because was caught in a drug test) and that Veitia arguably won his fight, he has wins over 3/4 of the deserved medalists.
He's also the PanAm Champion and has wins over Cintron and Dos Santos.Comment

Robeisy Ramirez. He showed several new dimensions this past Olympics including the ability to fight inside. I really hope he has the opportunity to turn pro during his prime years because I believe he not only has the elite skill level of the current top Cuban fighters (Rigo, Lara, Gamboa, etc.) but equally important, a crowd pleasing style and the ability to cross over.Comment

He didn't look that great in Rio to me, though the wins you cite sound impressive. And he seems like a guy who'd have trouble acclimatising to the pro game. But we'll seeAntonio Vargas is turning pro today.

After Shakur, Balderas Jr is the one from the American squad who I'm most looking forward to seeing in the pros
In general though Arlen Lopez is the guy I most wish would turn pro. He would be an absolute phenomenonComment

He was really unlucky and faced Zoirov in the second round, Zoirov had the fastest hands i saw in Rio and i don't blame Vargas for losing to him, Zoirov is damn good talent.
He beat Dos Santos who was the only non cuban medalist at the 2014 centroamerican and caribean games, beat David Jimenez who was a bronze medalist at the world championships and the best boxer in the world that didn't qualified to Rio, beat Jeyvier Cintron a two time olympian and great talent from puerto rico and like i said before, he beat 3 of the 4 deserving medalists.
It's a shame that Vargas fights at 52 because he is a great talent.Comment

I agree, Robeisy fought the fight of every single one of his opponents and beat them all at their own game.Robeisy Ramirez. But he can be so inconsistent and he can be lazy in and out the ring, even with the Cuban regime, i don't know if he will keep the focus outside Cuba.
But he is a GREAT Talent.Comment
