As for Gatti.....the guy was not a true Welter nor was he ever world class.
I have nothing against Baldomir but any other time in History he would never have been champ.
There are also better fighters than him at 147 whether he held the belts or not.
Who gives a **** why Baldo beat Judah and Gatti. Blah Blah, judah was not focused and Gatti is not world Class.

Fact: Judah was a undisputed champion. If you like belts so much. Judah was the WBC,WBA,IBF champion. Baldo only got the WBC belt because he didn't pay the sanctioning fees. That doesn't make him any less of a champion.
Baldomir defeated him even though he was supposed to be a tune up for Floyd. Judah was a huge favorite......Baldo proved alot of fans wrong.

Fact: Gatti was a huge favorite.......Baldomir proved alot of fans wrong again and made a successful title defense.

That is a hot streak. Had was on his way to Fighter of the Year had he beaten floyd. That would have been 3 big wins in one year. Didn't happen......Floyd won and he become the recognized, legitimate welterweight champion.

    Deal with the facts sunny.

I understand what you are saying, your criticism is that Baldomir sucks and Mayweather shouldn't have fought him.

My counter-argument is that there is no way for Floyd to know that Baldomir had gotten extremely lucky with timing and opposition to get where he was at in the 147 division.
he got to ****y against zoo and got knocked out. he was not focused for spinks.

mayweather knew from looking at him that he would destroy him. baldomir had more trouble with gatti than mayweather did and you could tell he is so slow. if margarito fought judah and gatti neither of them would last 1 round.

So that's why he is fighting the top 5 GOAT: Golden Johnson? Will he be able to last for more than 1 round?

            I do deal in FACTS.
BELTS MEAN **** ALL THESE DAYS.
For example Junior Witter would be the best at 140 if we followed your rules.
Gatti is **** and SHOT another FACT.
Judah was NOT ON FORM against Baldomir FACT.
Baldy was in the right place at the right time.
The only reason you are defending Baldy is because you are a PROVEN FLOYD NUTHUGGER and you need to defend Baldy to defend Floyd's bull**** claim to be the best at 147.
            FACT.
            Sonny.(Correct spelling FACT).

              Haha, that's funny.

Anyways, we are all, in agreement that Baldomir was in the right place at the right time against the right people.

You didn't answer my two questions though.

              1. How was Floyd supposed to know that Judah was going to start self-destructing in every big fight he was in from that point on? It really was the first time that he gave up halfway through a fight. This means that there really wasn't a way to tell that Baldomir was getting lucky as **** in that fight. Baldomir is not top-class, period. How Mayweather was supposed to know that, I'm not sure.

              2. What would you all be saying if Floyd had fought Margarito, and whitewashed him instead of Baldomir? You would say Margarito is one-dimensional, and didn't beat anyone good to get a shot at Floyd. Also, if Baldomir hadn't lost since he won the 147 title, and Floyd hadn't fought him, what kind of criticism would you all be flinging at Floyd for that?

Personally I would respect Floyd for showing us himself beating Margerito.
                HOWEVER he hasn't.
I hate the fact that people can just say "Floyd would beat Margerito easily".
If he could , why didn't he?
If it was possible it wasn't exactly high risk low reward with $8 million dollars on the table.
I'm just tired of claims that fighters will defo beat so and so like it is written in stone.
Pavlik beating Taylor a prime example.
Especially with Floyd who so far at 140 147 & 154 has not fought a Prime Contender or champ.
                Can you understand that?
In my eyes Floyd is still unproven until he meets a Hungry young opponent.
Hatton is a step in the right direction but the truth is this should be at 140 not 147.
I am getting bored of typing now...

So what kind of credit are you going to give Floyd if he beats Hatton, since it was at 147, not 140?

Would you really give Floyd credit if he beat Margarito and then Margarito lost again immediately after?

no matter how you put it any real boxing fan would give him more credit than beating any of the other welterweights mayweather has fought even hatton. that is the truth. margarito is still a bad ass in the welterweight divison only williams and mayweather should be ranked higher than him. plus margarito is not a coward and didnt duck williams the way maywather ducked margarito.

Well, we don't know that, because Margarito never became Floyd's mandatory.

It's also absurd that you place Margarito above Cotto. Cotto hasn't lost and has a belt. The win over Judah is just as good as anything on Margarito's resume.
