Yep. Just because he looked bad doesn't mean it was a bad night. He just wasn't fighting a C-level cab driver although Brook is not A-level either. It didn't help that Brook is 2 weight classes smaller than GGG.

      GGG said it himself:

Gennady Golovkin believes Kell Brook will give him the toughest test of his career so far when they clash at The O2 on September 10.

IBF welterweight champ Brook has stepped up two weight divisions to take on Golovkin, who has won each of his 35 professional fights so far, 32 by knockout.

Golovkin is defending his WBC, IBF and WBO middleweight titles in the capital and knows he will have his hands full against the Yorkshireman.

"This is the biggest test for me because Kell is a true champion," he said.

That's an honest answer, and a sad but true fact! A blown up WW was GGG's biggest test to date!

Which is exactly why someone like Canelo isn't beating GGG but someone like Eubank might. It takes a busy fighter to do in G.

The one fighter who stayed busy to the point of wearing himself out is also the fighter that almost took G the distance for his work.

its not that it was on purpose. its the fact that he didnt have any fear of what brook can do to him. thats why he ate those shots. he didnt get hit on purpose but the fact that he didnt feel brook can do anything to him makes him relax on his defense. watch him against guys his size and what does he do? he tightens up on his defense.

I still don't think he planned or expected to get hit like that...even if he didn't respect brooks power. Eating a few shots in exchanges is different than taking flush 4 punch combos while standing flatfooted in front of a guy while he tees off.
