So Combined total of 2 most recent respective ppvs [where both were A recognized ] side was $27 million. Golovkin at $7,500,000 got 27.75% of that total. That wouldn't be a bad split either.

I think part of it has been waiting for Golovkin to decline and Canelo to hit his absolute physical prime at 27 yrs old. If GGG declines 2/3% and Canelo goes up 2% that is significant in elite sport.

Another part is waiting for the Golovkin hype to go from a distant rumble to a deafening roar.

hope people are prepared to be disappointed. canelo has no intention of fighting GGG. These aren't serious negotiations, one hurdle will be in front of another in order to make sure the fight doesn't happen. if ggg agrees to 80:20 split, they will then say oh wait its got to be 90/10. Then they will say its got to be at 157. Canelo is scared of the boogeyman, he can write off one loss to Mayweather as him being young etc. What happens to his so called 'star power' once GGG demolishes him. ANd trust me that's exactly what happens, if you cant dodge GGG's punches you are in trouble, and canelo couldn't dodge a ****ing lorry, defense is dog**** and you would think he had concrete in his boots with his slow plodding footwork

If he loses he still has time to rebuild. Even if it took 3 years until 2030 he would still be only 30 yrs old. Meanwhile he got himself maybe a 70 million payday less expenses.

Golden Boy will do anything to spin the fight and make negotiations as unrealistic as possible only to blame K2 and GGG. You can't continue to fool the public when you've not honored your mandatory, chosen instead to give up the WBC 160 lb title, and say you're ready to make the fight but not for another year! These Canelo groupies choose to ignore that.

If Golovkin really wants this fight he should probably just take whatever he's offered. Personally I think he should say the hell with Canelo and move up to 168 after the Jacobs fight. But I can also understand that Golovkin is awfully tempted at the opportunity to make a crap load of money. No fight at 168 will earn him anywhere near as much as a Canelo fight would. He wouldn't even make more moving up to 175 for the Ward-Kovalev winner.

I don't like the fact that Canelo's team has deliberately delayed this fight from happening because they want Golovkin to age a bit more.
