you cant chance the meaning of words because it doesn't support some moot point your trying to make...which is false...what is it with posters on NSB...YOU guys are allergic to actual facts and stats....
Ward has been more active lately than a lot of fighters

just because you don't like a fighter doesn't mean you can erased what he accomplished....sorry

roy would be 2-10 steps ahead the entire fight.

RJJ was hugely talented. but one thing he didn't do too well was take a hard punch, and Kovalev hits damned hard.

          true...I disagree

Jones was dropped once in his prime...not the 40+ year old shell of Jones that people see today....he went 48-1 with 1 dq loss and all his wins were clear outright dominant wins. Up til age 35

we're cool.....Just based on skills, know how and talent....Kovalev is not near his league

I respect Kovalev a lot and he is probably the best most dominant light heavyweight since Jones.

Just based off talent and what they could do in the ring, Jones could do more and was a much more difficult style

Kov would eat sharp counters all night...I just don't see it bro...I like both fighter...respect your opinion

RJJ punchers way harder than Kovalev and is light years faster.

Kovalev doesn't take hard punches at all.
He was dropped in the amateurs in full head gear.

Jones has fought tons of hard punchers....Kovalev...not so much.

Let's see him win a title at heavyweight

he got dropped one time before the age of 35 bro

when did you start watching boxing? when he was in his 40s and a shell of himself

obviously you haven't watched many of his fights...its boxing....Jones took hard shots and didn't flinch when he was young and fought from 154-heavy and got dropped once

if he could take a punch he wouldn't have accomplished the things he did

I sure you probably didn't like him or didn't watch him in his prime.

John Ruiz hits harder than Kov and he shook those solid right hands off

That's like saying Oh....Tyson couldn't take a punch....dude got stopped one time in his prime and he took big shots in many fights even though he dominated

he ended his career getting stopped and dropped 3 times and nearly back to back

              lay off the sherm bro

Jones also hit hard too....was much faster...more elusive(only fighter in history to go 3 minutes without getting hit)

he had trouble with chilemba and pascal for gods sake

                  Jones would have him befuddled.

you can have all the power in the world but if you are not landing clean shots it means little to nothing

power is nice but its more about the application.

Jones of 96-99 vs Kov of today would be a good fight, but Jones would clearly beat Kov

he doesn't move his head or slip shots.....Pascal was landing those wise, arm punch hooks....imagine jones who could triple it, throw it 5 times in a row...throw it looping, wide, short

the guy had every punch in the book whereas Kov throws majority straight shots

I could see Kov beat Jones of 2006, and 2016...but 1996,......not even close

What moot point are you talking about? Kovalev said he hasn't paid attention to Ward before 2016. In the four years prior to 2016 (2012-2015), Ward has fought 3 times. 3 times. Thats not a lot to see. A whole lot of fighters have fought more than 3times in 4 years. Im ssorry your boy has taken extended vacations, but don't get salty at me for pointing that out. There is NOTHING false about that statement.

I believe him. Pacquiao didn't even know who GGG was. And people think Floyd is just putting on when he says he's unfamiliar with certain fighters. A cpl days ago Roach was asked about Jacobs fighting GGG and he had to be reminded who Jacobs was. These fighters really don't follow fighters they aren't going to fight.
