That how it used to be. Now they try to just sell the popularity of the fighter instead of an intriguing match up

There used to be lesser PPV for 20 bucks but now everybody wants to command 60 and up

It is bad enough Canella pretends he is a jm and fights at 175. Winning this belt was a stall tactic to join mw. That's all bad enough but this was a showtime free fight not a Ppv the greed is of the hook could have been even on a regular network show Canella to the world the few fans who have not seen him yet.

If it's 300K, we get "THE FIGHT" in May! On top of that, GGG will get 30% if he beats Jacobs, or 40% if he beats Saunders! It would help immensely if GGG could sell 300K in a PPV before he finalizes negotiations! I would try to get Saunders next, in the UK, in a PPV fight!

                Simple math shows me: 500k > 200+k

I don't think the fight happens in May, Canelo will be out till then and also has not fought at the middleweight limit yet. Most boxers aren't Kell Brook's that are willing to jump 2 divisions and in their first fight compete against the number 1 fighter in that division. Canelo will take at least 1 tune-up fight before he faces Golovkin. Also, I don't think 300k is actually that bad, though I'd say that if it were 200k they would probably immediately start negotiating for the fight to happen in September.

                    Canelo, the PPV Star

Man that 70/30 he could of gotten havnt the Khan fight is looking mighty pretty about now.

De La Hoya gave us all a lesson in how to stall a superstar.

If the figures come out to under 300K buys this needs to be a warning to HBO, Canelo, and Golden Boy Promotions.

If you want to use the Pay Per View platform make it worth the fans wild.

Number one have a main event that fans are clamoring for. Examples: GGG, David Lemieux, Daniel Jacob's, the Charlos fighters fans actually want to see.

Two have a solid undercard with evenly matched fights. This aspect of the card Golden Boy did a bad job with especially compared to the previous 2 undercard pay per view cards.

All in all this has to have been a kick to the gut to Canelo, Golden Boy, and HBO. Oscar and Bernard Hopkins need to make better Pay Per View fights moving forward.
