I'm sure he learned how to take care of himself now because he has been hanging with Briggs.

Go back and look at that fight again.

Beyond that, he still has not beaten a world-class opponent and has no chance against Wilder.
I have seen 11 Stiverne fights & he is a counter puncher who plays possum & sets traps. He will take 5 or 6 to land a big one. I think this is what he was doing. I see your point after watching it for the first time in years. I can see why the ref stopped it but really only a couple good ones landed. He wasn't hurt & was showboating a bit. He was foolish for not throwing a few shots & that gave the ref a chance to step in. It wasn't a terrible stoppage like I suggested but I still think a little early knowing Stiverne's habits & chin. Stiverne at that point hadn't done anything in his career to warrant any slack from the ref. He has good power but he can't sit there & take punches from Wilder like he did vs Arreola & Austin. He needs to jump on Wilder or it will be a total repeat on their first fight. I think he is going to have his hands full with Povetkin so a Wilder rematch is premature talk...

Povetkin and Joshua are the couple that can beat Wilder. The rest? Forget it

I said more than a few times Ortiz had not beat anyone. That was a few years back. To be fair he KO'd Bryant Jennings who had a good fight vs Wlad & had good wins over Szpilka & Mike Perez. That opened my eyes a little. Ortiz deserves some credit for that but I agree with you that his title was fake. The regular & interim champions was nothting more than a #1 & #2 contender in the WBA. Ortiz was ****** for dropping out of the WBA tourney.

Yeah. It's basics understanding their B.S. (Ruins boxing's crossover......)
Oh yeah, Ortiz getting some notice yeah. I never layed eyes on him really. I'm a intense -names names names names- guy. That's my chemical read. SURE, he deserves some credit. He's rated beyond David Haye in my book though and HAYE riding his previous reputation good now.

Dead on!!! & the showboating when you're not able to slip punches is beyond dumb.
