I don't follow any of the above, I use logic and sense as you do only I refuse to accept someone who has broken the lineage is in fact still lineal, Canelo IS NOT lineal champion anymore Jacobs vs GGG will establish a new heir. Hopefully Flounders gives his belt to GGG too so he can move up and give boxing fans a big present and finally be drama shows that aren't one sided beatings. He's give his fan boys too many presents now, boxing needs to begin to benefit his talents.

Jacobs is a very different fighter to the mover that fought Pirog years ago...This should be interesting.
First question is how well Danny's chin holds up.Comment

As long as we see Canelo or Saunders (for the Undisputed championship) afterwards
Jacob's extremely poor chin taints this match up a little
Had he systematically destroyed Quillin, I would probably think different. But the fact it was a a fairly quick KO1 makes me think it was a little 'flukey'. Quillin could quite have easily landed a punch like that, ending the fight in a similar fashion. But Quillin is Quillin.
That isn't going to apply with Golovkin has his chin is absolute cast iron. He ate Steven's hail mary left hook and continued moving. Thats frightening. I think the only way to beat Golovkin is to outbox him, which is no easy task given he cuts off the ring very well.Comment

Golovkin's power is drastically overrated; he's obviously heavy-handed, but his power is more a bludgeoning baseball bat-type power, rather the type of "bullet to the head" power that you see from folks like Adonis Stevenson and Randall Bailey.
Jacobs got dropped by Mora because he hurt Sergio, Sergio was in clear retreat/survival mode, and he got caught coming in overly aggressive (with Mora throwing the shot off of his back foot).
If that's what you're hanging your hat on, be ready to be shocked.Comment
