I'll take the word from Duva (world class promoter) and MarK Taffet PPV Guru for HBO. Tweets from both on the Thur and Fri after Canelos last PPV debunking false PPV numbers and exposing yahoo for claiming to have the full total including cable numbers they flat out made up. The cable numbers according to Taffet don't come for almost 10 days later.

FYI, no one - not UFC, not WWE, not boxing, NO ONE - has ever done more than 10,000 buys online/digital. That includes UFC PPVs with buys in excess of 500,000.

So digital buys are not going to be a major factor for this mediocre PPV either.
Post a link stating UFC has never done more the 10k in online PPV buys? They don't even release the breakdown for cable, satellite, streaming as far as I can find. The number of people that are cutting the cord and ditching cable/satellite providers and watching TV on streaming devices grows by leaps and bounds each month. It's a new revenue stream for PPV and my point is you have multiple places where you need to count up the PPVs and the only one who has access to all the pieces of the puzzle is golden boy. Unless you have a source from golden boy you will not get the full picture.

Last dec study stating that 1 out of 7 Americans are cord cutters and we are now in sept2016 that number has no doubt gone up. But yeah streaming PPVs to cord cutters are clearly not a factor. That's why UFC does it WWE does it and it's why Golden Boy spent a pretty penny creating the platform and grabbing Larry merchant and others to broadcast it.

Me too. I wanted to bomb but I never thought it really would. I was expecting it to make more than 300k so this is great if true. I hope it would force them to make a real fight.

                      Here you go, genius:
Dismissing the cord-cutter myth; only 1% of cable subscribers have cut the cord in the last 4 years
