The only thing worse than them migrating to GGG is people who STILL feel the need to attack Pac. Let it go FFS. No one is trolling for Pac anymore. There's no reason to hate the dude (unless you're LGBT). I agree that there's a malignant growth of casual fans that are now clinging to GGG but why beat a dead horse w/ the Pac thing?
the casual hate for golovkin is so much more prolific on this board. if you refuse to recognize that you're just a fanboy.
golovkin really doesn't even get all that much "love." that's mostly elsewhere on the internet. lots of those guys don't even speak english. on NSB there is more anti-golovkin rhetoric than anything else right now.Comment

Got to agree with that, I actually think it goes back even more. Gatti to oscar to hatton to Pac, but the way they just seem to have shift from Pac to GGG is amazing, it's like Pac is retired and was a 40 year old memory.Comment

actually, the "fair and impartial" boxrec computer has him as the greatest p4p boxer of all time. So, while you may not think he is, and neither do I, to say he didn't come close is simply not true.Comment

it's 1000% untrue to say that floyd is close to being the best boxer ever. i don't need f#cking boxrec! i've been reading books about boxing history since i was 8 or 10 years old. that's 20 years. i learned about this sport in reverse. if you think floyd mayweather's resume comes remotely close to that of ray robinson and muhammad ali you're batsh#T nuts.
that list, for example, has manny pacquiao and archie moore above muhammad ali. it has oscar de la hoya above ezzard charles! that you'd even bring it up is awfully telling, dunny boo boo
i just can't take it sometimes. you guys are too much. i'm gonna spit my coffee out.Comment

Its a matter of perspective and how you define close. Again, I don't think he did.
when experts/historians/media members are asked about this he tends to finish in the top 10-25. If because he didn't make it near top 5 you say that isn't close, ok I get that.
Floyd is the greatest of his era and arguably the greatest ever defensively. Will be a long time until anyone gets anywhere near the level he reached.Comment
