To be the face of boxing you have to be the one who brings in the most revenue, and the one who is the "A side" (disgusting little term but sad reality) whenever he fights someone else.

At this moment, the people who bring in the most revenue and are "A side" against anyone else except if fighting amongst themselves, are Canelo, Pacquiao and Cotto. GGG would be the "B side" against anyone of them -- yes I know, Cotto and Manny are too small to fight him, but that's not the point, if they were his same size, GGG would be for sure the "B side".

      • Brook is ever the optimist and you can tell he's used to having his own way.

You've never heard any GGG victim talk about thinking they would hgave beat ggg, if this didn't happen or that didn't happen or if only?

And YES, for the 10,000th time, we know Brook suffered an eye injury, had some shaky moments.... JUST LIKE GGG WAS SHAKEN UP. Yet YOU GGG-aholics are too pompous to admit your grand exalted hero was more tested than ever before. You simply are too chicken and too weak minded to admit it. Jolted in the 2nd round. FACT. GGG-aholics: No he wasn't. FACT: Bloodied nose, Abel grinding on him big time. GGG-aholics: That's total b.s.

Look bubba, if you wanna keep up the denial, go for it. We true boxing fans know it was a very competitive fight for a while there, something not done before vs GGG. So go take your cult member b.s. along when you take a flying leap off a tall cliff with it. No one but you and your little delusional cult cares about your skewed b.s. take on the fight. And don't get too tight with the belts... because either Canelo or equal is taking them all next year. Deal with it, loser bwaaaay. And take your stooo-pidd as fek 'doe' shiii with you, clown.

Damn!! That kool aid your drinking has more than sugar in it.

First off no one is invincible. That still doesnt change that Golovkin is above everyone else right now. Martinez, chavez jr, cotto, canelo, jacobs, saunders, and quillin wouldnt see the last bell. Ward and floyd have 10% chance of seeing the last bell, but they wouldnt win.

GGG did ouland brook in all rounds, and also landed the harder shots which: hurt brook in the 1st round, broke his eye in the second, knock him down in the third, made him want to quit in the 4th, and stopped him in the 5th. Compared to that all brook did was shoeshine a couple of times and land like 3 meaningful shots.

I could care less what the judges had in their scorecard. Majority of the judges in televised fights are corrupt. Most of them dont even score fights correctly and the critera used is extremely questionable.

          Clean punching(power vs quantity)

The only criteria i would take into consideration. Maybe also add damage done by a fighter. Cotto had more power than margarito but Mr. Bricks was the one doing damage.

          Effective agression

Makes no sense. Suppose two boxers fight a dead even round. They land the same amount of punches with just about the same force and cause about the same amount of damage. Im supposed to give the round to the guy that was coming forward just because?

          Defense

This one is irrelevant. You score when you land punches. The whole point of defense, in this and any other sport, is to stop the opponent from scoring. However defense itself is not scoring.

          Ring generalship

Who dictates the style, pace, and tactics.

I dont see how this carries importance.

Maidans forced floyd to fight at maidana style and pace. Even when maidana slowed down ,the pace was not the one floyd usually likes to fight at.

They each won six rounds in terms of punches landed and maidana has the edge in power. Floyd gets the edge in defense, maidana in effective aggression. Also maidana had the edge in ring generalship. Given this criteria maidana should have won, but i didnt see it that way. Neither did the judges, or press row.

I guess what im saying is that just because a fighter isnt fighting at the style and pace he likes(or using the tactics he likes) doesnt mean he is losing. If anything he should be commended for it. It means he has more dimensions.

Also dictating style, pace, and tactics doesnt score punches. Take Pac/Mosley for instance. After the knockdown mosley was the one dictating style, pace, an tactics.

Style: Mosley runs and hopes to see twelve. Mosley dictated the pace because he ran and Pac ****** at cutting the ring.

Tactics: Also dictated by Mosley as he ran, engaged when he had no choice, and held whenever he had the chance.

Pace: Slow because Mosley ran and Pac couldnt cut the ring off.

So Mosley was the ring general but it didnt help him at all to win, because manny could hit him with the jab and the straight( although mostly single punches) due to his hand speed. Ring generalship does not always equate to landing punches.

So in conclusion learn how to score a fight and stop being a sheep.

I'm certainly no sheeple, but you've certainly proven you're a GGG sheeple. The real bottom line... you GGG cult members can't even acknowledge your guy was way more tested than ever before. And you'll never acknowledge it. All you'll do is keep blabbering endlessly what everyone already knows and saw with GGG winning and causing an injury to Brook. Everyone knows that already. GGG-aholics though, you're just being delusional and in denial with not acknowledging your guy had 2 extremely bad rounds and looked clueless. Win lose or draw, that's exactly what happened. It's cognitive dissonance to not admit that.

If you're 'rooting for Brook' as you say you were... yet not acknowledging he tested GGG more than he's ever been tested... you're the one who isn't too bright. I never said Brook didn't get injured, never said he wasn't outlanded, never said Brook won the fight... none of that. All I'm doing is bringing up facts the GGG fans refuse to even acknowledge.

Two bad rounds? If breaking your opponents eye while outlanding him, and getting your opponent to the point he wants to quit are bad rounds i dont know what you think would be good rounds. Did GGG had to kill brook in the ring for you to acknowledge that he did well in those rounds?

                • In Russia they say, if mushrooms grew in the mouth we would eat them.
In Russia they also say, there is no sense in throwing punches after the scuffle is over.

So, Brook said much bullsiht, but at the end of the day he was devastated and that's the fact.

Cognitive dissonance bud, look it up. LIKE I SAID, YOU HARD HEADED GOOFBALL, WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FIGHT.

You just can't admit your guy was tested. That's fine. We non GGG addicts will get a good laugh soon as your guy is dismantled within the next couple years, because every top MW and SMW will be watching the Brook fight over and over with their trainer. The cat's out the bag, bubba. The formula is found. All that needs doing is expanding on it.

                    • Brook was done, he was taking shots cleanly without firing much back. He was trapped on the ropes and his legs were wobbly. He would not of survived another 2 rounds. He saved some face because his corner stopped the fight before he could get knocked out cold. He should stop worrying about would could have been and instead focus on recovering because at the moment he's coming across as very bitter in defeat.
