A contract of this magnitude, with how much money K2 will be leaving on the table if they agreed, then there must be a rematch clause built in. Otherwise, taking a one-time 10mil fight with no rematch clause still sounds like a ****** business move for Loeffler & GGG. Also, you can't convince me that GGG can't make 10mil fighting a bigger name. S##t, a fight with Andre Ward would dwarf that. Canelo seriously doesn't have any other big names to make that kind of money. While GGG can move up & find that money. Canelo needs this fight a lot more than GGG. Furthermore, why the f#ck would K2 ever entertain any negotiations while their fighter is set to fight someone else & they're trying to promote the event? If a promoter reaches out during this promotional phase, the norm would be to tell them that they'd talk after their fighter's bout. Why the f#ck would Loeffler respond now?...remember: DLH said he made the offer weeks ago...weeks.
If it's a good fight, there's no other financial fight possible for Alvarez, especially after a loss, than doing the rematch, full stop. In a situation where Golovkin would likely have all of the belts at that point, where else would Golden Boy go with Alvarez at that point.

So yeah, Team Golovkin should take 3 times the money he's ever made on a fight for his shot at superstardom, at the ripe age of 35.

Because Alvarez can walk, leaving Golovkin to fight out the rest of his career on regular HBO @$1.5m-$2m per fight.

Andre Ward made his move; he's up at 175lbs now, he's fighting Sergey Kovalev in a fight that's already sold nearly 10k tickets in Las Vegas, with eyes on a like Stevenson US/Canadian PPV payday to follow. If you honestly think Ward's camp is going to give Golovkin $10m, after the bull**** that he's pulled and already seeing Golovkin miss out on two money fighst, you're delusional.

The immediate rematch has to be built into the contract or it's a moot point. I don't care what logic you want to use. If it's not a guaranteed immediate rematch written into the contract, then we cannot assume anything about a rematch. And don't give me that BS about where would Canelo go to find another opportunity. That's full crap right there. I've been to other boxing sites & I've seen the rebuttals they've been making to this same exact argument. Canelo could feast on other WW's, weaker SWW's, or even weaker MW's...he could swerve GGG like the plague with no likelihood of there ever being a rematch. Canelo can go fight a bunch of no-names & his casual fanbase will eat it up...he can make at least 1mil every time he fights, whoever he fights. And I know this to be true because the Mexican-Americans who buy his fights aren't going to see reason in what boxing fans are saying.

Bringing up GGG's age only makes you look petty & a hater of GGG. What the f#ck does age have to do with making a GGG/Canelo fight?!...either make the fight or stop talking about it.

Sure, Canelo can just walk away from GGG. But just remember: if Canelo never fights GGG, his legacy will be forever tainted. It's already kinda tainted when he vacated a world title. But not going back for that world title makes him even more of a coward in the historian's eyes. So yea, go ahead & encourage Canelo's side to avoid GGG. In the end, his legacy will be rubbish if he does.

And why the f#ck are you bringing up Ward?! I don't bring up Cotto when I talk about Canelo. You're only baiting me & it doesn't make you any more endearing to boxing fans. Ward. Lol. You do realize that GGG would still be in the driver's seat even if Ward were to win against Kovalev (which I don't think he can). Ward can go fight in Oakland after he beats Kovalev, & that still won't sellout. So yes, Ward would not only be giving up money to GGG, he'd be giving up the lion's share of the money. Ward's match with Kovalev is only going to do well BECAUSE he's matched up against Kovalev. See what happens if he tries to fight Murdoch right after. Lol, bringing up Ward. It's like you're just looking for every little, minute reason to hate on GGG.

Exactly. Canelo should stay where he is. He's unbeatable at this level. This GGG discussion is fantasy. He's not fighting Golovkin any time soon. Canelo has to turn down the level of this machismo dialogue and make a fight with Brook or Thurman. It's all business nothing personal.
