BJS could have showcased himself against the bummy Gabe Rosado, in front of a big stadium crowd, with a PPV audience watching on television.

It would have been the perfect low risk way to knock off some rust while introducing him to the American market and getting people talking about him as a potential foe for Canelo.

What a wasted opportunity. I think he and Frank Warren really dropped the ball.

Agreed, taking a fight on an Canelo undercard is actually a great career move. Specially fighting a good, exciting, though limited fighter in Rosado. Its a win-win. The whole time during the telecast they keep mentioning Rosado is never in a dull fight.....BJS would get the same type of respect and probably would have a nice KO reel of King Rosado. What a shame they don't think like true businessmen. That's why there are so few Pacquiaos, Money Mays, De La Hoyas, Tysons despite many of these fighters are very skilled. Great point you made!

Warren always backs his guys publicly (until they leave him) but I think behind closed doors he would've thought Saunders an idiot for turning it down. They still have nothing decent lined up, GGG-Jacobs in talks, Eubank so unpredictable, Canelo going in a different direction. He isn't even a financial draw where he can go fight a bum and people will care.

I get the feeling that Warren thinks Oscar is bringing in his fighters to be sacrificial lambs for Canelo. And he resents that.

It's probably true to an extent but if you can make big money for it then what's the problem?

It was a ****** move. He said he has nothing to gain from beating Rosado. Yes, probably true in terms of resume as Rosado loses to any decent fighter but he will probably fight someone on Rosado's level or below on October 29th anyway in front of an audience that already know him.

He could have been exposed to a new market and even though Rosado isn't much good, it's probably better having his name on your record than some eastern european factory worker which he will probably fight next month.
