My expectations for wit and intellect in boxing are pretty low. Especially when Mayweather and Fury are considered "funny" and people here refer to Golovkin as being highly intelligent.
Ward does have a mind that seems misplaced in this sport. To hear him talk you'd never guess he gets punched in the head for a living. He's got the demeanor of a Ray Leonard, if Ray ever said anything meaningful. And, wit so dry and poignant and it burns a hundred degrees hotter than the verbal diarrhea that passes for trash talk in this sport.

Andrea Ward is being disrespectful to ring warriors like Isaac Chilemba and Curtis Stevens! They are not prima donna diva princesses and don't resort to head butts and clamping their opponents' arms.

Also disrespectful to very talented cruiserweight Maris Briedis and heavyweight prospect Cassius Chaney.

Roc Nation isn't the biggest company in the world, but Andre Ward is having his third fight on HBO this year, with Miguel Cotto likely having a PPV to close out the year, with a couple prospects almost TV ready (Dusty Hernandez-Harrison being the leading candidate; doubt that Rigondeaux ever gets back to televised HBO).

With the NBC deal dead, Kathy Duva's Main Events basically becomes Gary Shaw Productions.

I just can't fathom the dislike of him. GGG I don't dislike either, you watch any interview after a fight its just impossible to hate on him.

Ward is the fighter he is because he's more intelligent than anyone else in boxing.

The Fury comments are so true, the guy is an absolute fück witted moron of the highest order. And whilst I'm not hating on Floyd he isn't in the least a smart guy but he has surrounded himself with a team who have made him more money than a small country, he obviously isn't as ****** as he appears, the mans brain was born to box take nothing away from him.

He's an intelligent guy too, he's an example of having an intelligent team around him and a great boxing brain also yet the guys he's facing he isn't needing to draw upon boxing skill and talent. Diva burned that bridge with her tantrum the week after the Brand fight. Can't blame them. They've never said anything bad about her, but she definitely blasted them in the media and made it seemed like Ward was trying to duck the fight only to reverse course the very next day.
