No sparring from a month out... doubtful it would've made much difference anyway. Could've sparred with body shots only. Not as good as full sparring obviously, but still would've been something.

LOL does no boxer understand how the excuse thing work? This ain't that complicated.

The remark should be "no excuses so & so was just a better man tonight". You cut it off right there & not proceed with an injury report of the last few weeks. Or just don't say no excuses. Give your excuse & be done with it. It ain't really that serious. No one goes into a fight 100% & sometimes you are just 2nd best on any given night. It has happened to the greatest fighters the sport has produced.

I'd love to hear someone say "no excuses " and then just leave it at that one day.

Smith got his alphabet title shot and two ridiculous cupcake defenses because of his good promoters and Canelo knew he was nothing but a glorified club fighter with zero chance of winning. Canelo did his job. Smith could prepare for a year and fight Canelo 10 times and the results would be the same

DAMN I knew it and he was still bullying Canelo hard. He made Canelo retreat backwards and put him against the ropes.
