Canelo talking bollocks again. The fight needs to be at 160, and why not do a 60/40 split with the winner taking the larger split. Somehow i doubt Canelo would agree to that tho

The guy barley speaks English, but haters want to hang on every word.

Especially since supposedly 30 days ago Canelo made an offer at 160 for what they claim is 8 figures.

It doesn't take GGG three fights. Maybe two, but honestly those were sold out.

He should fight in Texas and see if he could get 50k. 1.5 million Mexicans watched the Brook fight. It would probably get 50k too.
I agree GGG should fight in Texas! He should fight Zurdo Ramirez @ 168! Arum should call Jerry Jones ASAP!

If people are dubbing it the biggest fight in boxing, and some are even projecting it might actually do over 1M buys, how can you just give him a flat fee? part of the reason that it's the biggest fight is because of the matchup, because Golovkin. He's going to contribute to bringing some of those numbers. You have to give him some PPV upside.

Neither fighter will get those type of projections without each other. I'm sure Loeffler knows that GGG is the B-Side, they'll definitely take less of the split. But you have to have a split here.
well considering canelo is a bigger star and more then a 60-40 bigger what exactly did team ggg expect?

We can say for certain they turned down a 50/50 168 offer in minutes.

Dougie and Kim think 1.7. I think that's about right.

1.4 millions watch GGG fights on HBO. 1.5 million watched in Mexico the Brook. Many more around the world.

I don't think it's hard to believe that fight will do huge numbers.

And De La Hoya said they offered 8 figures. That's at least $10 million.

Problem is, that fight will bring in so much money, and GGG is a huge part of that. Canelo will not bring that in himself.

K2 will get more for GGG. I wouldn't settle for anything under 70/30. Period.
I agree the fight would EASILY do 1.5 million buys if not closer to 2 million. Especially on Cinco De Mayo or Mexican Independence Day.

That's exactly what the ggg camp wants you to think about the Ward situation. They are trying to muddy the waters and make it seem like they actually wanted the fight and Ward's camp was responsible for it not coming to life. That couldn't be farther from the truth.

Ward has shown that he is serious about fighting all of these "avoided" fighters by stepping up to 75 to fight Kovalev. The fact is that ggg didn't want to fight Ward. The offer was on the table, a 50/50 split for everything right down the middle. Ggg's camp declined to the offer in less than 5 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJhd1X5aFLE

This fallacy that ggg is avoided and that no one wants to fight him needs to stop. He claims he'll face anyone from 54-68, yet is not willing to budge from 60, and continues to make unreasonable demands. He is the one ducking and responsible for these fights not coming together.
