$5 million was just his guarantee dummy. He made well over $12 million for the fight with his PPV upside.......Shane accepted like 8 million for the fight against Floyd Mayweather and he was the champion, Miguel Cotto accepted 8 Million guarantee and walked away with 10 and he was the champion, both those fights sold well over 1 Million PPVs, Canelo got 5 Million in a fight that sold 2.2 Milion PPVs and he was the champion!
If GGG is that warrior that's desperate for the fight then he should accept 6 million, the fight won't sell more than 1 Million PPVs by any means anyways, if GGG turns down an offer to fight Canelo at 158 lbs+ for 6+ Million then he is DUCKING Canelo, no question about it,Comment

GGG has no problems drawing live gates. He is not Andre Ward. All of his fights here in LA have sold out in hours.
In the same venues that Marquez vs Vazquez struggled to draw flies.Comment

We are ready for him and he does not want to accept? Did everyone miss the part where Canelo's own promoter came out at the presser 20 minutes later and said Canelo will fight in Dec, then May, then we will be ready for GGG in September of 2017?
Not to mention a $10m payday on a fight that will likely pull in 70 million kind of sucks. Canelo should get the higher % no doubt, but a flat fee is insulting. Canelo needs a big name to do big numbers. He has only done 300k on his own. If this Smith ppv doesnt do big numbers than GB needs to stop acting like he can carry a ppv on his own. They both need each other if they want to make serious money.Comment

Exactly, little g seems to think that we forgot about how he ducked Ward. Ward just a day or two ago in an interview opened up about the ggg duck, and how they made him a 50/50 offer, right down the middle at 168. Who gives a **** if it was a couple fights away from that point. He still could have fought Lemieux and Wade, like he did anyways, then stepped up and fought Ward now in September. Yet, he decided to go the other way and fight a career Welter.GGG a fraud 35 without a single quality win and refuses to move up or down in weight to make better fights. Phuk that coward ran from ward and canelo. What happened to 154 or 168? Killed the 2 biggest fights possible because he refused to go up or down like he said he would.
What's next for him??? Jacobs? BJS? Neither are fights that the fans want to see. Sure, Jacobs is a step up from what he has been fighting, but not a Ward or Canelo.
It's simple, the rules of the game are very obvious. Canelo was MUCH more of a draw to Floyd and to Cotto than ggg is to Canelo. Yet, he still thinks he has more leverage than Canelo did, and many other deserving "b" side opponents prior to him.
The fact of the matter is that he is not willing to take a risk the way others were. He expects all kinds of special treatment and concessions regardless of never beating a true a-class opponent.
He should be called Gennady "Smoke and Mirrors" Glovokin.Comment
