Yeah, I think Ward edges it as well but who knows if Kovalev can land a big shot anything can happen...can't see Kovalev outpointing him without a KD or 2

This is like the only dude I see keeping it 100 in every single word that comes out of his mouth in every interview I ever watch.

People go to these writers and these "boxing exports" the media for information and stuff like that...and to make decisions like...who's the p4p #1 fighter in the world?

Now the humble guy the Ward is, all he's saying is...well...why don't you guys just go and ask OTHER fighters who the best fighter is right now and see what responses you get. Everyone knows what the response of the majority of the top tier fighters will be. If you took a vote and asked every top fighter right now who the p4p #1 is, I don't even need to say who would get the top vote. You all subconsciously know what the answer is because you yourself know it's true just by reading this post, even if you vocally say otherwise. It's the truth.

I'm glad ward has finally sobered up and sees how pathetic it was stalling his career begging for fights with guys 2 divisions lower.

He still has time to pick up the pieces if he can get a couple good wins.

Ward will weigh in more than GGG weighs on fight night, he already is two divisions bigger than GGG. He'll probably rehydrate up to 185 for the kovalev fight.

                  So money is your argument?

Because that wasn't teams golovkin argument. They said they aren't gonna put their career on hold for a year and a half waiting on a fight that may or may not happen.

But turn around and wait 16 months for canelo for a fight that may or may not happen.

may 2016 to September 2017. You do the math.

either one of them could get beat next if they fight somebody legit

Whatever the case, 18 months from now Canelo is going to be at 160 while Ward will be at 175 unable to make 168. So who can he fight? It's a shame, because I was hoping that after he unified Golovkin could fight Ward at 168 but apparently not. No doubt Ward will duck him for a third time.
Yes willing. Golovkin hasnt said he isnt waiting until september of next year has he? So that means Golovkin is gonna wait like a ***** until canelo gives him a fight.

Canelo vacated in may 2016. The fight is supposed to happen in september 2017.

That's 16 months of waiting for something that isn't guaranteed. That's the exact thing team golovkin said they wouldn't do for ward.

that's the definition of hypocrisy. I don't care if you like one fighter more than the other. Call a spade a spade.

Doesn't matter now anyway. Ward is sealing his legacy in november. Golovkin is hoping a legacy fight falls in his lap.

like roy jones said. When you can't get big fights. You go hunt for them.

                    Ramirez in Texas
                    Ward in LA
                    Kovalev in Russia
                    Degale in the UK
                    Jack in vegas
                    Jacobs in NY
                    Stevenson in Montreal

It's money and legacy right in front of gennady. He seems hesitant to go get it
