So what is really worse, fighting a world class fighter that's gonna be at 154 or higher the rest of his career and was regarded as the best WW in the world by many or fighting a journeyman guy nobody had ever heard of from a weight class below? Toss up for me.... What concessions were Ward making in the first place? And why do people even talk about them fighting at all?, now they're 2 weight classes away and GGG claims he wants to unify and fight Canelo so it's years away at best....

They turned down 157 for Brook.

Brook has been fighting professional for TWELVE YEARS and campaigning at welterweight. When the GGG fight was announced suddenly he's been having trouble making WW. But he was about to make it for the Ali fight. In his 12 years as a fighter why has he never campaigned at JMW?

I don't think Brook even tried for 157 then, it was done in 2 days

Well according to boxrec he's weighed over 147 9 times in his career so that's 25% of his fights over the WW limit....

Anyway, Ward fought a fking bum....so what's your point?

He will be fighting at 154 for rest of career but just today he will not hive up belt at 147 cause he's contemplating so thats not right on your part.

Top WW he was not that till Loeffler said it now he is all of the sudden.

Elite world class he was not considered either till they said it
