So by saying styles make fights, doesnt GGG do well when guys come at him? How would taylor handle a GGG punch, or Hopkins for that matter? Both like to come forward. So it could come down to the best chin...which obviously goes to GGG.

Taylor and Hopkins can both fight off the back foot as well as come forward. Both of these guys are a really BAD style matchup for Bumlovkin.

Would definitely be interesting early.

I'd expect Taylor to be ahead at the halfway point but you have to think that when he fades and Golovkin starts landing flush that he'd break down and get him out of there.

Bhop isn't stopping Golovkin at any point in his career. I'd pick him to win but let's keep it real, he wouldn't white wash Golovkin.

I respectfully disagree. I don't think GGG is doing anything with a prime Hopkins at middleweight, too big, too good. Stylistically Hopkins is murder for GGG, I think some of you forget how good Hopkins was. No to mention he was a pretty destructive puncher at middleweight, GGG's style would totally work against him against a defensive master like Hopkins, he is the total package at 160 and once established the only thing he struggled with was world class speed coupled with good ability.

GGG holds no advantages apart from punch power and is a pretty small middleweight overall, Hopkins was a monster at 160, he had the speed and reflexes of a middleweight in the frame of a super middleweight or light heavyweight, he was a freak of nature to be honest. I could definitely see GGG getting stopped in the latter part of the fight after taking a sustained beating.

GGG is one of the best middleweights of the last 20 years, but Hopkins belongs with the top 5 middleweights of all time, there is a difference. I see this already but in time - you will retract too.

We will never know, but it's too early to judge GGG legacy v B-hops

When it comes to age, GGG is way ahead of where b-hop was at 34.

It's too bad B-Hop is tied up with Golden Boy,mite be nice to know what he really Tunis of Canelo chance of beating GGG.

It's oviously not very good considering Canelo ducked the shiiiit out of GGG.

It would be interesting. I'd normally pick Hopkins but the last time we saw him, he looked timid, slow, and lacking the coordination he always had.

Thats the thing GGG hasnt fought anyone within a bulls roar of Bhop , you will see what Im saying if he fought Ward , Hopkins has fought overall much better fighters .

Look at Bhops resume and look at Gs , no comparison and WW Brook is Gs best opponent , there are a number of guys on Hopkins resume that would mop the floor with all of Gs opponents .

Compare B-hops resume at 34 to GGG. It's not fair to compare his now, he didn't even get the big fights until mid 30's too. Until beating Tito everyone said he hadn't best anyone, which wasn't exactly true then, as it isn't for GGG now.

I don't know how GGG v b-hop would end up if both were prime, because GGG career isn't over yet.

True, GGG hasn't fought guys like Tayor.

But b-hop didn't fought anyone as good as GGG at MW, except Jones and maybe Taylor, which he lost.

And B-hops ceiling may be lower, if GGG unifies and goes on to best Ward in his prime he'd obviously have the edge.

Why would I retract? I havent forgotten anything about Hopkins. I watched him live from his first fight with Roy all the way to present day. Nothing that Ive seen from either fighter leads me to believe this fight ends any other way than a decision and probably but not certainly for Hopkins. I mean we arent talking about Robert Allen or William Joppy or Howard Eastman here. Golovkin is the real deal and would give Hop all he wanted.
