The only thing I remember Lara for is going to a draw with Carlos Molina, and until he avenges that he'll always be known as the guy who went to a draw with Carlos Molina.

If you've ever seen Lara fight, you'd see that his "southpaw, straight punching, move-and-move w/pop" style is a stylistic nightmare for basically every fighter anywhere near his size (147-160). You add that Lara has shown that he's got the ability to take a punch and, to be frank, his package is as good a measuring stick for ability as any fighter going.

How Floyd deals with a bigger, longer fighter, coming from the southpaw side, whose instinct is to move would've been interesting. How Golovkin figures out a fighter who will never sit in front of him (while tagging him from range the entire night) is a question that K2 seems to have no interest in finding the answer for.

To simply assume that Golovkin KO's him is silly

I would say the Angulo fight is better because he showed heart and adversity.

GGG never ducked Lara and suggesting such is asinine. He never made any offer, is in a different weight class and HBO didn't want the fight anyway. The people who pretend to think that GGG "ducked" him are his obsessed detractors.

That said, its an interesting fight and I'd have taken that over the Brook fight any day.
