I just think it's waaaayyyy too big of a step up in competition for the lad

That said, I'd be happy to be proven wrong. I'll be pulling for Smith.

Beefy is going to smash Canelo and having him flapping around on the floor like a fish out of water he he did to Thompson.

But seriously, Smith has a very nice punch selection but that's against very limited opposition.

He throws a beautiful uppercut I'm certain he will find the mark with that punch on Canelo he will just need to be a fraction bit quick with moving out after throwing a combo

I don't give him much of a chance atall.... Before this fight he was competing at European level and domestic level.

This should be a comfortable victory for Canelo, Smiths toughness will determine whether this is a stoppage victory or UD.

Yeah. I think it's a hell of a leap from that level to this with nothing inbetween.

Then again, everyone was at Smith's stage at one point, nobody starts at the top really. Maybe he can show he's a player in the division even if he loses. He's beaten those he was meant to beat so far anyway which is all he can do.

But yeah, it's a massive jump in levels. I probably can't think of the last time a fighter went from basically domestic level to fighting one of the worlds supposed elite fighters. I mean it's not like jumping up to fight a regular world level fighter.
