pac vs marg, pac was up against a mexican but you gotta be a fool to hold margarito (at that point) to a higher standard than where canelo is at now. canelo IS mexicans #1 guy right now. mexicans will always out do any other race when it comes to supporting their fighter.
    No it didn't. LMAO

"The fight was rewarded with a paid crowd of 36,371 and a gate of $6,359,985, according to post-fight tax reports filed with Texas boxing regulators.[17] Counting complimentary tickets delivered to sponsors, media outlets and others, the Dallas fight attracted 41,843,[17] well short of the 50,994 that was previously announced,[18] but still an epic number for boxing. margarito was never on canelo's level in terms of popularity for the mexicans.

canelo could fight a bear and the mexicans will support him because that's their number #1 guy right now. the fact that pac who is not a native here, could draw that much is an accomplishment so im not sure why the need to compare as if this is a competition when its clear why canelo will prolly out do manny. mexico aint that far from texas. philipines is about half an ocean away. most of pac's fans that support him is from the states, very few will travel all the way from the philipines. where as canelo, he has the fan base here in the states, now add the thousands that will be coming in from mexico to see him fight.
i only brought margos name to state that pac had help selling those tickets, canelo is fighting a noname , if anything we should be comparing margo to liam as the clear b side they are on both fights..

ARLINGTON, Texas -- At the start of the night, the crowd was dead.

Maybe it was in awe of what it was seeing.

A boxing match at the $1.2 billion stadium in this city between Dallas and Fort Worth left some speechless.

When the night was over, the crowd of 50,994, the third-largest to see an indoor match in boxing history, had seen Manny Pacquiao retain his WBO welterweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Joshua Clottey.

"I was worried if there were a few people here for the fight," said Pacquiao, considered pound-for-pound the best fighter in the world. "Then I come out and I can't believe it."

Nearly 51,000 fans are in attendance at Cowboys Stadium to witness Manny Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title defense against Joshua Clottey.

bruh, what are you not getting??

i just explained to you that canelo has the fan base here in the states, plus the thousands that will be coming in from mexico. he could fight a bum off the streets and they will still come to support.

manny only had the support from the fans here in the states.

              That number was debunked

              Manny's attendance was 41K

being mexican doesnt automatically brings the fans, only other fighter capable of doing that is chavez sr... anyone who cant see that as a big acomplishment has serious issues or agenda... no one can sell tickets like canelo in america right now, not even americans....

You'd have to be a serious sucker to buy a ticket for this fight

It's worth a maximum of $50 and that gets you a seat in the nose bleeds with the only view being from a big screen

Pay any more for a better seat and it is a blatant ripoff that will have fishnets laughing his head off at you
