Only in the minds of GGG fans can 50,000 be a failure and 97k be a success.

40,000 means that he has not lost his fan base yet! If Canelo's PPVs out sell Kovalev vs. Ward, that will mean that Canelo has replaced Mayweather as the face of the sport! BOYCOTT!

I'm not knocking 40,000 and I'm not comparing to Manny Pacquiao's fight either. What I'm saying is if the fight had the demand Oscar claims, it should've sold out by now. Oscar is reaching with the 70,000 prediction. And in comparison to Manny's, he is not Mexican so the 41,734 in attendance (I was there) was still really good. There's no denying Canelo's star power but there is a bigger contingent of Mexican fans in Texas. If you look back at previous stadium fights, Mexican fans simply show support in numbers. Personally I think GBP will need all the live gate sales he can get because I don't think the PPV's will do well in comparison to Canelo's previous sales. I think if he can bring between 300-500K, he's exceeded expectations.

Oscar just doing his job and raising the bar higher since tickets are flying and exceeding expectations. 40k is all they needed to beat Manny and pass Canelo's own record for tickets sold. 70k is a stretch no way they hitting that. My guess is it easily cracks 50k though and there is no boxer today doing these kinds of numbers especially off these type of ticket prices.

You're full of chit. Cheapest tickets you can find right now are $65. I'll be at the fight and expect 50K + people there.

Of course you are knocking 40,000 something GGG in his wildest dreams couldn't do. And of course Oscar is reaching with 70,000. The fight already exceeding expectations so he's sticking his chest out to brag and raising the bar higher that's called promoting.

                Otro flonque naco!

This fight should've sold out already is what I'm saying and you know this as well. Im not knocking any numbers, the fight will reflect in PPV's. You go from commenting off my statement by comparing Manny's attendance to now mentioning GGG. Thats the sign of someone who has little to no argument so he makes every attempt to validate his statement by reaching. The fight isn't sold out as they claimed it would and that's not my opinion, it's reality. Settle down, you sound like a groupie bro.

It's impossible Manny couldn't do it no other Boxer today could do it but now if Canelo doesn't sell out 80k there is a problem? Name a single boxer that is selling 50K tickets especially off the high ticket prices Canelo is moving. Come dude GGG couldn't sell 16K until the day of the fight against wade with CHEAPER tickets and free give aways. But that's a success but Canelo on the verge of selling 50K is a disappointment? like someone said he might have HALF as many people live in that stadium then GGG had PPV buys total. Think about that for a second LMAO

It's so sad watching these little girls try and spin this. Canelo damn near pulling in live audience that rivals GGG's entire PPV audience.
