Saunders won the title in Dec '15, was scheduled for a fight in April '16. Tried to get HNN, but HNN had a fight in March that he refused to cancel, so they settled on Bursak. Then BJS injured his wrist and was unable to train until August/late July. I wouldn't say he's exactly been sitting on the title.

Now he wants to be on the Fury/Klit co-main for the exposure as he shakes the rust off against Akavov or Brant. It's not ideal, but it's not horrible either. Jacobs chose to sit out 9 months then fight Mora. I'd take Brant or Akavov over a 35 year old Mora who's been sitting on the shelf for 13 months.

You said all of this to say? I never said Jacobs had a good year. No1 at MW had a good year. But Jacobs did at least try to make a fight with Saunders. Saunders has been doing exactly what i said...sitting, talking crap online.

Completely disagree. GGG has a monster on the table with Saunders. His next fight will be in the UK again book it, either Saunders or Eubank jr.

Jacobs is a bigger puncher, comparable quality boxer to BJS otherwise outside of his shaky chin.

BJS is solid. Beating Andy Lee and Eubank Jr at least put him above all of GGG's other wins. Not a huge resume builder but a credible opponent.

I actually like the Jacobs fight before the Saunders or Canelo fight.

Saunders and his team are flaky. They say one thing then do another. Either way, he needs a big fight at 160. He hasn't fought any true Middleweight with a pulse in about a year. Thats a waste. I'm happy for either fight to happen. But one or the other needs to happen.

I feel he'd take a fighter like GGG or even a Jacobs far more seriously but that is speculation on my part.

Personally I think Saunders would outbox and probably stop the chinny Jacobs.
Its not just his chins bad his defense is terrible, he loads up way too much its a recipe for disaster.
idk dan. jacobs has a ko over chocolate in under a minute. way more impressive than anything ive seen from joe.

i also think this "daniels is chinny" talk is misplaced. the guys got a ko loss from what, 7 years ago? Mora got a nice counter KD but aside from that I think he has been pretty solid. Im very aware that the way Pirog KOd him the same way Mora got his KD so he does need to improve.

But the truth is Danny is the biggest threat at 160 to GG because of his power - and GGG is no Pernell WHitaker. It would be funny as **** though if Jacobs KOs GG and goes on to lose a 12 rd UD to Saunders, making Saunders the Lineal MW champ
