Comments Thread For: Canelo on Golovkin: I'll Fight Him - I Never Ran, I Never Ducked!

I am a big fan of both GGG and Canelo. I hate to see Canelo embarrass himself with false statements. He chose to vacate his title rather than fight GGG at 160 pounds. He can say he is willing to fight GGG but until he signs a contract to fight him very few believe him. Oscar says even ******er stuff about a future fight between Canelo and GGG. I think they are two excellent fighters who will probably never fight each other. I wish them both the best of success and victories in all their future fights.

You changed GGG statement to match Canelo mythical weight class.
155 isn't a weight class dude.
Anyone from 154-168 doesn't mean yes I'll defend my 160 titles and your 160 titles at your made up weight class of 155.
So Canelo is a coward for not accepting to fight in a weight he has never ever fought a single fight, whereas GGG is the "real man" who has fought A TON OF fights at 160 and could easily go to 168 and still have power? Okay Canelo is a coward, as in FIGHTING AT 160.
But, then again, GGG himself is a coward too, and a bigger one at it, because HE KNOWS he has more power than Canelo (and probably everybody from 154 to 168, as he and his trainer have stated repeatedly), yet he says "I'll fight ANYONE from 154 to 168," yet he blatantly refused to fight Canelo at 155, or any other catch weight under 160, but he says he would fight Floyd at 154?
Conclusion:
1) Canelo is supposedly a "coward" if he has to fight ANY real middle weights -- not excluively GGG -- at the present time, at 160 (according to GGG fan-atics or Canelo haters).
2) GGG is supposedly a "coward" if he has to fight CANELO at ANY WEIGHT lower than his preferred and comfortable 160-pound weight.
Oh, but if GGG has the opportunity to fight smaller -- way smaller at it -- welter weights, he will. He just fought Brook, he made him go up two divisions. He wants to fight Floyd, who drained a very young and green Canelo at 152. Of course this prime 160-pound monster GGG would most likely KO Floyd even at 154. I mean, GGG can cut the ring off, he is relentless, and he hits way, way harder than Maidana (who stunned Floyd a few times in their two fights), and Canelo himself -- who was a corpse at the weigh-in and still looked drained and in very poor shape on fight night, thus he was way slower, clumsier and weaker than normal --
Both of them are cowards in their own right. They should have compromised to a 157 catch-weight when the prospect of that fight was really "hot". As soon as any of the two gets REALLY exposed (both Khan and Brook already exposed them partially, defense-wise), the interest in that fight will be totally gone.Last edited by sterilizer; 09-16-2016, 10:10 AM.

Champs can't be asking for CWs, that's just common sense. A few paper champs have, but unlike Canelo they were badly outsized, and none demanded a maximal CW. Nobody's ever demanded a CW from a Mando challenger. How can you defend that ****?

Let's clean up the forum moderators.
Anyone defending Canelo should just be banned, they are the very reason we don't get to see the fights we want and when we want them. Do you need these douchebags on here???? There has never been such a blatant duck in the history of the sport, there's never been such blatant lies spewed from from a fighter after such a duck, it's disgusting and the fans, they are to blame for this behaviour!
