Well some of these "Americans" are American born but with Eastern european ethnicity or born in East europe and move to america as a child, So they would still be rooting for their "own".

Meh, it's boxing..follow who you like, it's not a big deal.

In sports like football (soccer) you don't get to pick your team. It's a team passed down to you by your family. You follow your local team, from the area you live in or was born in. Which can sometimes suck if that team is total shit.

The good thing about boxing is you can follow who you like. Anyone whos style you like, anyone who excites you.

The nationality of the fighter is of non importance to me. The colour of a guys skin is about as important as the colour of his trunks.

I do tend to root for the brits, but there's been times when i haven't.

That style is more appealing to the majority of fans. When they watch a fight, they want to see a (brutal) KO, not a dancing class.
