Is GGG/Jacobs more competitive than GGG/Canelo?

Ostensibly, Jacobs seems like a bigger puncher than Canelo, is coming off of a streak of KO's, and is a natural middleweight. So it would seem that he is the bigger challenge for GGG even though Canelo is clearly the bigger event. However, I don't think Jacobs has the chin that Canelo has, so if GGG lands something big early, it might be over quick (although maybe I'm wrong to think this)... whereas Canelo/GGG will be a 12 round blood bath, because we know Canelo has a great chin.

In terms of technical skill, Canelo seems better than Jacobs, but again, he doesn't seem to pack the same power. And he won't have a technical advantage over GGG anyways. However, GGG might have a greater technical advantage over Jacobs, but their power is closer...And Jacobs is technically better than Lemieux, who lasted pretty long against GGG. So all things considered, GGG-Jacobs seems closer despite the fact that GGG-Canelo will probably go 12 rounds.

A Jacobs fight is far more competitive than Canelo.

    Speaking of chins...

Canelo was almost KO'd by Cotto's older Brother...a career lightweight.

He was also walked-down by lil Floyd.

Canelo has sparred with little g at least once (in Big Bear...years ago). Jacobs is a good strong fighter, but he is very limited and his chin is seriously in question.

Lil g will ice Jacobs - but it will be entertaining for however long it lasts.

Canelo's ability to outbox Cotto (a borderline elite fighter) provides optimism that he continues to evolve as a fighter and *can* give lil g a good fight.

        Canelo's a more competitive fight.

He's not taller than Jacobs but girth wise (pause) Nelo's a big ****in boy. He's flat footed but he's got quick hands for his weight and IMO has a bigger punch than Jacobs does. When I saw Jacobs get dropped by Mora, that's really all I needed to see.

No. Canelo is a better overall boxer IMO then Jacobs and does better work to the body.

Absolutely not. People on NSB overreact to the smallest thing and forget easily if it's not a controversial topic.

Canelo is an excellent, excellent boxer with good defense and a solid chin+technique. Canelo/Golovkin is a true 50/50 fight in my eyes. I would not be surprised at ANY ending to that fight - a Golovkin decision or a Canelo KO included.

Jacobs is wild most of the time. IMO Danny would be like a 5/1 underdog.

I dunno. I think Jacobs vs. Canelo is a 50/50 type fight. Id say id favor Golovkin over both of them but it'd be 60/40ish with Canelo and 70/30 with Jacobs because of his chin.

Jacobs was dropped by Mora, thats all we need to know, Canelo/Golovkin are the best fighters at the moment, Pacquaio and Wlad both seem to be done so they are the kings of the sport with a possiblty of Ramirez being the third king

Nope, Danny poses a punchers chance but not much else. He would bolster Golovkin's resume and cement his claim to the Middleweight throne.

Canelo is a much bigger threat, he seems to have a solid chin and is very quick with his hands. He also seems very confident in his ability and doesn't get wild when he hurts his opponent.

Jacobs is a KTFO moment waiting to happen.
