Wow, GGG is really, really getting under Canelo's skin.

It wouldn't surprise me if their popularity completely tilted in the next year. GGG is getting more popular all the time and the longer Canelo blatantly avoids him, all he'll have left is his dedicated mexican fanbase and a few GGG haters.

Canelo isn't the face of boxing at all. That's Golden Boy trying to sell it, if they tell enough people, some will believe it. Golden Boy and HBO etc. are desperate to have a huge star, a new face of boxing to take over from Manny and Floyd and are pushing the idea of Canelo in peoples faces but nobody is buying it. His ducking isn't helping either.

Golovkin is becoming the face of boxing, whether anyone likes it or not. Floyd was and look how many threads used to be dedicated to Floyd on here, whether it was positive or negative, people were writing and were obsessed. Now it's Golovkin.

Those hating Golovkin are actually adding fuel to the fire and enhancing his popularity because they're still talking about him.

Doesn't it annoy you when Oscar goes "this is canelos time" Wtf does that even mean???? lol NO FIGHTER OR PROMOTER needed to hype something up like that lol ever before doing something significant... They did their actions in the ring, against the top tier, and THEN they start smokin for a couple fights and they fight the best and beat them decisivley. THEN is when its acceptable to announce " this is the era of such and such" its as though oscar is with his kid, saying "ITS TIMMYS TURN ON THE SLIDE" like DUDE you're babying this mother f u c k e r lol Im ashamed.... Mexicans don't f--k around. What Canela didn't mention is he's an Irishman. Most overhyped guy in boxing history. Trying to copy floyds blueprint of making people buy his fights to see him lose. canelo is the most popular boxer atm though. You can tell by his ppv buys and his hbo rating. He's been losing fans though with the crap he did this year.
