Canelo led the boxing public on for several months. He signed a contract saying he would fight Golovkin if he beat Cotto. Said he would fight him next. He was in the ring after Cotto saying he wasnt afraid of anyone. He made it seem like he would fight Golovkin when he asked for a voluntary defense in January. He called Golovkin into the ring and told him directly that he would fight AT 160! He said "we dont fuŠk around in Mexico", only to prove that yes, they do fuŠk around in Mexico. He is an utter disgrace to the country of Mexico, as many other Mexican fighters have pointed out. The fight isnt getting made and the only one to blame is CANELO! Don't give this bullsh it about Canelo being a 154. His azz has been a MW since 2013. Dont come crying about he's too small now...

The whole point of allowing Canelo a voluntary defense was so that he could fight at 160. He gave the WBC the same BS excuse youre giving today, and he was allowed to fight at 160 prior to fighting GGG. Stevens was available and fought that night, as did Lemieux. He could have fought either of them at 160, or ANY other MW for that matter. Instead, he chose to fight Amir Khan at 155. That excuse is ludacris.

Not only that but they claimed they were going to work up to 160 and then when down in weight lol now they are talking about fighting kell brook at 154. Its really a sham and the couple fans he has left really are bamboozled. I respect people backing their favorite fighter but you cant do it blindly people should still call a duck a duck. Every man on earth is accountable for their words and actions and canelo should be held to the same standard

It was reported that there was a specific clause on the Cotto contract which stipulated the winner fight GGG. It was the whole reason that Golovkin accepted the step aside money. And even if it was verbal and not written like reported, it is yet another instance if cowardly Canelo backing down on his word. Are Mexicans liars and cowards? I never thought so. You keep going back to 155. 155 is MW. You know this, right? We cant pick apart each individual pound and act like its a separate weight class. 160 has been MW since the beginning of boxing. As far as Canelo being a disgrace, just ask Ramirez, or Chavez Sr, or Duran what they think about it. You know, some REAL Mexican warriors. Trying to compare Canelo at 26 to GGG at 26 is apples and oranges. Lets compare Canelo in 2016 to GGG in 2016.
