Who do you think is the harder hitter? Both kinda have common similarities due to their recent bouts of fighting welterweights and 5th round stoppages.

We both know they have strong punching power but who do you think hits harder?

My guess would probably be Golovkin but technique wise would be Canelo

Canelo has the better combinations and handspeed but GGG looks to be the harder puncher by a lot. Canelo does have good timing and can counter very well so there's that in his favor as hes very crisp. GGG hits guys as if there is no resistance where he lands. When he hits guys to the body it looks like a DBZ punch that goes through it. Very stiff and brutal power. Canelo relies more on explosiveness

The fact that you actually think Canelo has better punching technique than Golovkin tells us all we need to know about your level of boxing knowledge.

GGG might hit harder but Canelo has 1-punch timing and accuracy that Golovkin doesn't. It's pretty much evens out.

Yeah hand speed goes to Canelo but technique I don't think Nelo wins that one, Nelo might throw a not bad combo but he does leave himself much wider open for a counter than GGG after throwing a few shots together.
