I highly doubt GBP left out language in the contract that doesn't protect them. In some cases the other promoter might be willing to sue to get their pay in full due to breach of contract but this is Oscar we are talking about.

Could De La Hoya afford the costs of the fight not going ahead if Canelo comes in overweight, Smith's camp would be in a stronge position even regarding Smith keeping the title if the fight went ahead and he lost.
Good point regarding the lack of testing for this fight, sets it up for Canelo to make weight with duretics then rehydrating, hopefully fight takes place and Smith pulls off the win and puts spanner in the works for GBP who I beleive only picked Smith believing he is an easy fight.

There is a reason Canelita has withdrawn from VADA testing for this fight, he is making weight, he is on PEDs and will use Diuretics to make weight and use IVs to rehydrate to 180 on fight night.
