We should NOT respect fighters that avoid VADA

WBC is finally doing something to clean up the sport FOR REAL forcing top15 fighters to use VADA.

VADA is not perfect but it's the best we have to clean up boxing.

VADA should be started at least three months before the fight. Even better, should be year round.

No more steroids, no more endurance drugs and EPO, no more diuretics and illegal methods to cut weight.

Do you agree? yes? no? discuss.

Kovalev hasn't used VADA testing for 2 of his last 3 fights, including his last fight. Do you respect him?

Only if you are doing drugs and claim to clean up the sport and fool the people by saying you are doing year round random testing.
Then turn down a clause in the contract to fine a fighter if caught doping...

He used VADA for the mohamedi or Pascal fight, I don't remember, and his performance was just the same.
He's also using VADA for his next fight against Ward.

So I respect him, yes, thanks for your concern.

I don't think guys should get all that much respect for testing before a fight as its a half measure at best. I think the guys who've taken on year round testing should be more celebrated than they currently are & the groups who could start a year round testing protocol like Commissions, Alphabet Groups, HBO, PBC, Showtime & Promoters should all be peer pressured to undertake exactly that sorta testing if we are reallllly trying to clean up the sport.

That's why I'm saying testing should start three months before the fight at least.

The top 15 ranked fighters in WBC have to do have? Since when? Also, who's paying for it, because its not cheap and most fighters make crap money

Pacquaio's team pulled out of VADA testing for the Bradley fight. Do you respect him for that move?
