The idea that Golovkin is a huge star or the next big star or whatever is a myth. Like I said, he's a hardcore sensation. Nothing more, nothing less. He's never gonna be that massive of a star.

And the only people who care if he is or not are the ones who want to see him lose the most. Boxing fans like myself don't care if hes a "star". We pay to see a performance that he puts on. But whats funny is how people here will rag on these numbers of paid subscribers, but claim Danny Jacobs is a star for getting less than that, on "free tv"! ������

600K < 700K. See that number in my original post of 600K, that's me concluding 600K were new watchers. That's mean I already subtract 100K for being returning viewers. So I already factored in return viewers in my post yet you still decided to respond with this rubbish.

Don't like those numbers than lets say 500K new viewers and 200K retuning viewers. Now we have about 1.35 Million overall viewers. Take it how you wanna but the numbers are still good.

Is it because a large portion of people suddenly said "I'm not going to watch Golovkin anymore". It's possible, but unlikely.

Look, if the fight took place on HBO in a primetime spot in America. Let's say, Stub Hub or w/e. I'm going to predict it does well over 1M, just based off his previous numbers during a primetime slot with less promoted opponents. It would likely the same as the Monroe and Wade fights.

A event like this shouldn't even receive 1 mill. it should be in the 2's the way HBO Promoted it. if this number is true. i think it's due to the public being smarter then any of you give them credit for. the casual boxing fan has in their mind "who is he fighting. brook? didn't brook fight porter at welterweight? **** that fight I got better things to do on my Saturday" & it's just that simple.


at the end of the day monroe was still a middleweight. and golovkin had the steam of "monster running through middleweight. tune in!"

GTFO with that dumb ****. Broadcast happened on the same day, one at an irregular time for boxing fans and the other at the normal time.

Only a complete fuqing idiot would pretend that all same people watched that afternoon and that evening.

Ratings is all about how many different people watched so if 850k watched at 4:30 and 600K different people watched at 10 why would you not add the totals when both happened the same day?

The time is the time. Whenever there is an afternoon fight we do not add replay numbers.

Numbers are not added because the program is completely different. At 5:30, people tuned in to watch GGG/Brook, the only fight. In the evening, they tuned n to see Gonzalez/Cuadras, kamegi/Soto Karass2 and GGG/Brook.

You are utterly disgraceful for trying to add the numbers. If GGG's numbers were lower then expected, just deal with it like a man.

Yea, if a show plays during the day, and shows a replay you have to combine them. Because the views during the day aren't representative enough.

Otherwise how do you explain the discrepancy? Is Brook a lesser name than Wade and Monroe? Did a large portion of people just get tired of GGG and say "we're not going to watch him anymore?". It's possible, but unlikely.

You can't be serious.You do not combine numbers unless you are tryng to artificially inflate GGG's numbers because they are lower then expected.
