So about 1.4 million to 1.5 million between the two broadcasts. Pretty good numbers I expect the haters to say you can't put the two numbers together because there's certainly no chance different people watched at 4:30 and 10:30

Since when do we calculate ratings by adding the number of live viewers in with the number that watched on replay(s)?


I hope some of the reasonable GGG fans call this guy on this. I mean I get some of you want GGG to do well but c'mon.

You keep ignoring the fact that this fight drew less viewers then his fight against murrary last year which was an afternoon fight as well. Kind of debunks the theory that GGG you been screaming all year about how much bigger a star GGG has become in 2016. This fight was hyped up as his biggest fight ever and promoted more then Murray why less ratings? Sorry to bust your bubble but he's just not a draw. This is just like the damage control you GGG fanboys were in after his PPV flopped last OCT LMAO

Murray was a record for that time slot till Wlad Fury. Overall drop in boxing ratings plus size mismatch plus college football and you get similar numbers

So Golovkin got 843k live, then 755k on the replay. Still ****s on Jacobs/Mora doing ~550k despite being on 'free-tv'.

But I am disappointed, I was hoping for an improvement over the Murray fight (862k). The 20k drop is insignificant, essentially means no improvement on the brand. If I'm Nelson/Loeffler, I say leverage a deal with Jacobs/Haymon to let their fight go on NBC/CBS/FOX. Give Golovkin a chance to increase his exposure.

It's sounding imminent that Golovkin/Saunders is happening next, so we'll get a quick turn-around comparison on these afternoon numbers.

you are dreaming if you believe that Canelo would have taken the fight at ANY weight. And who cares what PR crap people put out. If you are serious, you send an offer. If they reject it, then you have that ammo where you can say "we offered xxx and they rejected it". Besides, didnt Canelo say IN THE RING after the Khan fight that he would fight GGG at 160? It's not Canelo's job to debunk GGG's own words that he will not drop weight to fight him. Funny how you fanboys of GGG take everyone else's words to the grave but when GGG himself not just his trainer or someone else says I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE WEIGHT TO FIGHT CANELO. I WILL ONLY FIGHT HIM AT 160. That somehow now isn't good enough for you? Canelo's camp has to draw up a contract for a fight that the other side is refusing to fight at Canelo's weight. LOL Canelo is the A side here you don't play games like this with the A side. Can't say well Canelo wasn't going to fight him at catchweight anyway so we refused to fight him at that weight. Only way to prove that would of been if GGG said yes I will go down in weight to make the fight. Instead it was like an idiot trying to bluff when he has a pair of 2s and the other guy has 4 aces. What's funny about that? I've said that multiple times in the past, including for the Stevenson/Kovalev fight. Let your guy go on the other network, knock the head off that network's fighter and come back bigger. That grows your brand bigger than not taking the fight at all.
