Yep, could be... but at least he's doing VADA, as everyone should.

That is strange. Lara has been 167 and even 170. 161 seems weird... I'm not saying it cannot be but sounds weird.

He had a jr belt (interim champ) at the time but who cares if that jr belt was officially on the line or not? Since it wasn't on the line he kept his "belt" despite losing to Canelo and was later upgraded to full champ after the fact. Point is Canelo if he wins on Sat will have beaten 4 of the top fighters today at 154 (Ring's current #1, 3, 6, 8) there is no room to complain about his level of competition against Jr Middleweights. He's fought all the top guys. Only thing you can possible complain about is should he move up to conquer 160. His competition at 154 is hard to critique. He's fought and beat more top Jr Middleweights then any of the current Jr Middleweights.

Ahhh, you were talking about belts. You said Canelo has fought more WORLD CHAMPIONS then most boxers fight in their entire careers. You said that. And I said he has only fought 3 World champions. Just in case you may not know, a World champion is a person who holds a world title, a world title is a major belt of a sanctioning body, There are 4 sactioning bodies such as the WBC or World Boxing Council. The WBC was formed in 1963 and currently has 34 titles spread through out professional boxing, not including female titles. The WBC is currently overseen by Mauricio Sulaiman, who was promoted after the death of his predecessor.

Lmao, I added all that extra stuff you already know because you thought I didn't know who Canelo has fought, and you spent a whole response telling me.lol.

I said he has fought all the top fighters at 154 to dispute that is pretty foolish and for his career he's fought more world champs then most fighters far older then him. For example he at age 26 has already fought more then DOUBLE the amount of fighters who have been world champ in their career then GGG has. Never said anything about belts having to be on the line for those fights. My point is simple if a fighter has been a world champ at some point in their career he tends to be a higher quality fighter then guys who have never been a world champ at any point in their career. Do you disagree? And yes belts have gotten water down which makes it even more pathetic when you fighting guys that haven't been able to grab one once in their entire career.

And you are incorrect Canelo has fought more then 3 154 world champs. Off the top of my head he's fought
              Smith
              Cotto
              Lara
              Floyd
              Trout
              Mosley

              • Canelo's already fought somewhere around a dozen world champs all together in his career. GGG is 35 and is only in the low single digits for world champs he's fought and I believe only faced 3 world champs at 160. Geale, Murray, Lemiuex. Only knock on Canelo you can make is should he move up and now to fight 160lbers. His competition at 154 is pretty indisputable beating Smith will mean he's beaten 4 of the current top 10 best 154lbers in the world (Ring #1, 3, 6, 8). GGG has only beaten 1 of the current top 10 160lbers (#4 Lemieux) and at NO POINT in GGG's career has he ever beaten 4 of the top 10 ranked. Matter fact he might have never have beaten 2 of Ring top 10 ranked fighters at any point in his career. GGG's level of competition is pretty laughable whether you want to go off the "names" he's faced or the number or world champs or look at what those fighters have achieved before or after fighting GGG it's paper thin.

                    Trout
                    Mosley
Again the only World Champions Canelo has fought was Trout, Mayweather, and Cotto. Canelo fought Lara at 155 which is at middleweight where Lara had no belt. Mosley was not a World Campion when Canelo fought him. You said in your post "at 26 Canelo has fought more world champions then most do in a career". That is factually incorrect. It's actually comical that you don't understand the difference between a World Champion and a ranked fighter. I have not disputed anything about the ranked fighters that Canelo has fought, I have only corrected you with the fact that Canelo has only fought 3 world champions, and smith will be the forth. Also your assertion that "he is only 26" also means little because he's been fighting professionally since he was 15.

And just because a fighter had a title at one point in time means nothing. When Mosley fought Canelo Mosley was already 2 fights past it. The weight, age, and current ability of a fighter, compared to when they actually possessed the title means more than whether that fighter was once a world title holder. By your assessment Sugar Ray can come out of retirement, get knocked out by Canelo, and you would give Canelo credit for fighting a World champion, now that's truly comical.

Again facts seem to be missed on you, or maybe your just deathly allergic to facts so you stay away at all costs. Macklin, Stevens, Geale, Rubio, Murray, and Lemieux where all top 10 ranked Middleweights when GGG fought them. Again I am not dis*****g Canelo's opposition because wins against Trout, Lara, and Cotto give Canelo the better Resume. The rest of his resume is trash. GGG's resume doesnt stack up to Canelo's right now, but you are wrong about the amount of ranked opposition that GGG has faced.
