In which case, The Ring should strip him of their belt and the lineal title declared vacant. If he's not competing in that weight class anymore, then that's it.

The Ring is OWNED by Golden Boy. The title and the whole lineage is automatically dismmised, its an inhouse champion that does not mean **** anyways.

Seems to be his options at 154lb are very limited....IBF with there 10lb rehydration clause...Charlo brothers because there good movers and strong at the weight......I also think there looking past Liam smith somewhat and who may cause quite a shock this weekend......smith is not to be underestimated and who may just make things very uncomfortable for canelo if the fight go's into the latter rounds.....I have a sneaky feeling about this

It's time for Canelo to cut the "I'm a natural JMW" BS when he walks around at a natural 175-80 lbs. If he is a genuine JMW, why doesn't he call out Jemall Charlo for the IBF bet?!? Because as MDPopescu said earlier, he knows he can't make the JMW limit on fight day. I guess it's too hard on poor gingerboy to fight within the IBF mandated JMW fight day limit when he can't put on 15/20 lbs the night before and push around real JMW's. I am a GGG fan, and Canelo running away from a fight with GGG doesn't bother me. He's plain scared of GGG and I don't blame him,....but hiding behind this veil of being a JMW when he really isn't, is simply getting old. I doubt Canelo could handle Jamall Charlo's height and reach advantage even if he could surpass the IBF limit.

Good for him. Staying in a division that isn't crap.

and about the title, everyone knew he was after cotto, not the title, but cotto had the title on the line so it was and extra, like the cherry to the cake, another acomplishment, why complain?? even ggg didnt complain a bit when canelo was given a shot at a title cotto no longer had...

and if you want to hold someone to his word, let me remind you that ggg and his team had been parroting for 4 years that they will fight anyone from 154 to 168...
Is GGG supposed to be the next ppv star, nope. Is Canelo, yep.

And saying anyone from 154-168 doesn't mean he has to fight them At their made up weight class of 155. And it does have to be within reason. Meaning guys like Lara can't expect to get ppv money when they bring little to the table.

                GGG is unified MW champ.

Canelo is lineal MW champ who spent 3 years campaigning at MW.

So yes, I do expect Canelo to live up to the standards he supposedly sets.

If you call GGG into the ring, don't then vacate and go hide fighting obscure JRMW.

And no one can honestly even say Canelo will make weight. All indication was he even struggled to make 155.

And he missed weight for Angulo. He was fighting at 155 for a reason. Considering he rehydrates 20+ pounds, it makes sense.

Yet his promoter says he is likely moving up for his next fight. Ducking frauds can't keep a straight story from week to week.

I can promise that Alvarez is at the absolute limit of his ability to make 154, if he even can for this fight. I don't think that's a sure thing.

Did you just call Canelo a scam artist?

Now that's true. Man comes in at 180 to fight Cotto and Khan, complain GGG at 170 is too big.

extremely limited... I forgot that Oscar and Haymon don't do business together, as Oscar sued uncle Al.
