Were Lara or Ward mandatory and willing to fight for the gennady's belt
Canelo handed the belt not to fight ggg. Ward is the great fight, but there would always be that issue about the weight (they are naturally 2 wd apard).
Canelo and ggg are the same size..
I cant understand why are people so fixated on lara. how much credit ggg gets for KOing him? I dont see hkw KOing lara is bigger than KOing jacobs or sanders.. Is Lara even the best in his division? Is he in the top 3... The guy makes ugly fights, why is that so impressive?? he lost to canelo when canelo was much worse than now..
Liam Smith looked poor - not to take anything from Canelo's great performance.
Part of the reason is that Liam didnt spar at all for the last 3 weeks as he had a bad cut, Same cut that opened in the 3rd round. His timing was totally off. One of his poorer performances.
Christ, he is so slick at evading a question, he could be a politician. They coached him well. But it's too transparent.
I can see how Canelo is one of those people who doesn't spend a lot of time online. He thinks there isn't a world outside of live television exposure. So as long as he acts tough with his "I'm ready to fight right now, Mexican's don't **** around" machismo routine in front of all the live viewers and fans in attendance, it's all good.
I explained on Derranged's topic earlier why Lara fight would be much easier for GGG than Brook. I suggest you to go read it, it's a constructive comment.
Plus as Derranged said how can you be so upset about GGG "ducking" Lara, who's in a different division, boxing on the other network. Also why I never heard you accuse the other 154ers for ducking Lara? Because it looks to me like none of them want to fight between each other.
Lara "wants" to fight him when he has a fight to promote and when he gets paid 4 millions as if he was the A side.
If GGG really ducked him and if he still really wanted to fight a serious middleweight threat why didn't he called out Jacobs than? Jacobs fight would be much easier to be made anyways because they are under the same promoter/manager. He can fight Jacobs - another dangerous puncher and another delusional guy who believes that he deserves at least 5 millions per fight, just like him. So Haymon could make A MULTI-MILLION fight between these 2 fighters with no no drawing power. But the problem is he never wanted it. Instead he could pretend that he wants GGG, calling him out from a safe distance knowing that there is too many roadblocks in between for that fight to be made.
Ward? The same Ward refused to fight him before when Golovkin wanted the fight? The same Ward who sent him an offer hours after he signed the Lemieux fight, after which one he was supposed to fight Cotto vs Canelo winner, and than get the rest of the belts? The same guy who was calling him out just a couple of months ago and than just recently admitted that there's no way he could make 168 and that it's even hard for him to make 175?
You just got ethered like Oscar and B-Hop. I wish I pressed that put on ignore list button a long time ago.
Always love watching Canelo, his boxing ability is fantastic. He's extremely fluid and varied in what he does, just a level above.
Yeah he showed a great offense. I like his style so much, too bad he don't have a better footwork. He also got hit too much tonight. What's interesting is if he wasn't blatantly ducking GGG, I would root for him in their fight, because I like elusive fighters like him. I still appreciate all the great things he does in the ring but I just can't look him with the same eyes, same like with Floyd.
